Aishwarya Rai will play Dalbir Kaur’s role in Sarbjit biopic

Sarbjit Singh has become a household name, but for a very unfortunate reason. Film maker Omung Kumar will be making a biopic on Sarbjit Singh. Since the news broke out, there have been various names that surfaced regarding the role of Dalbir Kaur’s role to be played on the silver screen.

Various names have been in the talks ever since. Some of the prominent of them are Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra and Kangana Ranaut. However, it is understood that finally it will be Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who will play this role.

For those who do not know, Dalbir Kaur is the elder sister of Sarbjit Singh. Sarbjit was a farmer, who came from Punjab. He mistakenly crossed the line and was found to have entered Pakistan, of course, illegally. He was accused of being a spy. He was ordered a capital punishment way back in 1991. However, he wasn’t hanged.

Soon after Afzal Guru was given capital punishment in India, Sarbjit was tortured to death in Pakistan. He spent as many as 23 years in Pakistani jail.

Why was Aishwarya Rai stopped at the Cannes Festival?

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who is a regular figure at the Cannes Festival, had to face humiliation this time around. Actually, she was stopped at the gate and wasn’t allowed entry inside. She was there to promote her upcoming film.

Sanjay Gupta is the director of Jazbaa, Aish’s upcoming film. Sachin Joshi is the co-producer of the film. There was media presence along with the locals at the gate near the Indian Pavilion. All of them were eager to take a look at the Indian beauty.

It is understood that the reason for stopping Aishwarya at the gate was due to some security reason. Actually, the entry is allowed only if the person has a Blue Pass and it looked like Ash didn’t carry one at that time. The Jazbaa team had to be at the gate for around 20 minutes or so.

The reason for the goof up was the carelessness of the promoters of the film’s event.

Satyapaul, who is the Indian Embassy Protocol officer, saved the day for the beautiful Indian actress. It was later understood that the car in which Aishwarya came to the event didn’t have a Blue Permission sticker. Naturally, the security officer didn’t allow Ash’s car inside.

The officer was convinced that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was a global icon and that the event management of the film would handle the police in case the situation arises later.

Aamir, Salman and Shah Rukh Khan to do a film together?

If reports are anything to go by, then the popular Khan trio of Bollywood, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan will be seen sharing the screen space – for the first time ever. It would indeed be a mega project, but is yet to materialize.

Though the three of them haven’t been in a single film yet, they have paired in various flicks before. Shah Rukh and Salman have dished out hits like Karan Arjun, Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam and the last one being Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.

Salman also paired with Aamir Khan to work in Andaz Apna Apna. It was one of the best comic films of Bollywood and both Aamir and Salman were praised for their splendid roles.

The ambitious project of casting all the three Khans together is visualized by Sajid Nadiadwala. It is understood that he will not only produce the film, but will also direct it.

Though it is uncertain whether the film will indeed turn up to be true, it is known that the shooting will start in January next year. The film is expected to release not only before December 2017.

Rakhi Sawant takes a dig at Sunny Leone

Rakhi Sawant, the opportunist who knows how to remain in the news, has once again managed to grab the headlines. She has once again made bold statements, of which she is neither afraid of nor cares about.

The bold Indian girl uploaded a video on YouTube last week. In the video Rakhi ‘ordered’ Sunny “You, Sunny Leone, get lost from my India....get lost from my film industry....”

Now, what’s the reason for Rakhi to put up a video in that way? Is it the fact that Rakhi is feeling insecure in front of Sunny or is she just using Sunny’s name to get in the news once again? Well, it’s your call and you have to decide that.

The message is crystal clear. Rakhi wants Sunny to leave both Bollywood and India. The bold and aggressive statements from Rakhi just didn’t stop here. She has even gone on to say that it is Sunny who is the reason for her to wear meager cloths.

Rakhi says that Sunny Leone is the reason why she and other Indian girls are forced to wear skimpy cloths. But then the simple question is didn’t Rakhi Sawant or other Indian girls were inadequate cloths before the arrival of Sunny?

Censor Board refuses certificate to Sunny Leone’s Mastizaade

Sunny Leone starrer Mastizaade is currently going through rough weather as the Censor Board has refused certifying the film. The sex comedy has got a second time rejection now. Understandably, the makers of the film have now gone to Film Certification Appellate Tribunal.

Actually, the flick was supposed to be released exactly one month ago – on May 1. However, it was referred to the Revising Committee of the Censor Board.

According to an inside source, the producers of the film were at least expecting the Board to make lots and lots of cuts in the film. However, an outright rejection has come as a blow and they are understandably dejected.

As a matter of fact, one of the members – a female member – of the board had suggested awarding the film an “A” certificate. This would mean the film would at least get released with an “A” along with some cuts. However, the out-and-out refusal to clear the film wasn’t something expected by the producers.

Pahlaj Nihalani, who is the Board chief, has informed that it was Nandini Sardesai was at the forefront of having the film stalled. However, the producer Pritish Nandy is not ready to believe this statement as he knows that Nandini Sardesai wasn’t present when the screening of the film took place on both occasions.

Sunny Leone’s comedy in Kuch Kuch Locha Hai

Sunny Leone is now trying her hand in her first comedy film titled Kuch Kuch Locha Hai. However, according to her comedy isn’t anything new to her. It is not that she has handled such genre before, but she feels that she has got a good sense of humor.

Apart from that, Sunny also said that she has got ‘a bit of training’ in comedy. In the film Kuch Kuch Locha Hai, there is Navdeep Chhabra and Ram Kapoor as her co-stars.

Speaking about doing comedy on-screen, Sunny said that she never minded being made a fool on the big screen.

As far as Sunny’s sense of humor is concerned, she revealed a bit of herself when she wasn’t working in India. When back in the United States, Sunny was a member of a comedy troop. There she performed stand-up comedy along with some comic skits.

And now that Sunny has made such hype about her comic abilities, it remains to be seen what response she gets and how she is accepted by her fans in a comic role, which isn’t what Sunny Leone is known for.

Why was Vidya Balan slapped three times?

It is reported that the beautiful actress Vidya Balan was slapped as many as three times. What was the reason? She is beautiful but, has the brains deserted the beauty?

But we all know that Vidya is a talented actress and why she got herself slapped three times was actually a part of the scene. Actually, Vidya along with her co-star Rajkumar ‘planned’ the scene themselves.

Vidya and Rajkumar Rao will be seen in their upcoming film Hamari Adhuri Kahani. One of the scenes involves Rajkumar, who plays Vidya’s husband, to slap her. The film revolves around domestic violence.

Such scenes where one actor slaps or fights with the other are generally shot with camera editing to make it look realistic. However, Rajkumar gave a real slap to Vidya and everyone on the sets was taken aback along with the director.

Mohit Suri is the director of the film and he too had no idea of this particular scene. To make the shot perfect, it required three retakes and Vidya was slapped every time by Rajkumar.

It was only after the two actors exposed that the two of them had planned this to make the scene look real.

Gabbar is Back has been right in the news ever since reports started breaking out in the media. The first poster of the film has also added to the craze that the film created around it. The right amount of promoting with the accurate timing has helped the film people come to the theaters.

The film saw a huge and handsome opening of more than Rs. 10 crores. The amount was actually stated to be Rs. 13.05 crores. The mouth publicity made a good positive impact and it helped in the corresponding shows.

The evening and the night shows got warm response. That increased in the income of the film over the weekend.

The film Gabbar is Back is the second partnership of Viacom18 Motion Pictures along with Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Co-producer Shabinaa Khan is another partner in the venture. The film has a pretty powerful story and there is the presence of actor Akshay Kumar.

Khiladi Akshay is well-known for his actions. The film is based on an the common man – aam aadmi – waging a war against corruption.
