The director of Chennai Express Rohit Shetty and actor Imran Khan
will come together for a Hindi film of the film Soodhu Kavvum. Soodhu
Kavvum is a Tamil film that is known for being a crime-comedy drama. The female
leading lady is still to be finalized. But if reports are anything to go by, it
will be Shraddha Kapoor.
The shooting of the film will start soon. A statement from
Rockline Productions, which got the remake rights, reads that the formalities
of the project have been completed. The statement further read that Imran Khan
will be seen in the male lead, while Shraddha Kapoor will most likely be the
female lead.
However, Rockline Productions is the co-producer of the film,
as Rohit Shetty will also be a co-producer of the film. The film will be a part
of the home banner of Rohit Shetty.
In the original film, Vijay Sethupathi had played the lead
role. It is being reported that the film will also be remade in Malayalam.
