British singer Amy Winehouse cremated on Tuesday

The short-lived British singer Amy Winehouse was finally led to rest on Tuesday – three days after her death. It was an entirely a private funeral that was attended by close friends of the singer as well as the family, which took place at the Edgwarebury Cemetery.

There was no hullabaloo about cremation ceremony in any form.

Amongst those prominent who was present was Mark Robson. Robson was the producer of a radio show in the United States where Amy Winehouse’s songs were played. Kelly Osbourne, a prominent figure in the media world was also present on the occasion amongst the mourners.

It is needless to say that fans were present on the occasion to pay their last respects to the departed soul. Photographers were also present to get the last shots of the immensely popular singer, who had taken the world by storm with her many popular albums, one of them being the Back to Black.

The atmosphere got emotional when Mitch Winehouse, Amy’s father read out an tribute to his daughter.

The drugs and alcohol finally carried out their cruel plan. Amy Winehouse is dead at the age of 27. However, her mother, Janis Winehouse says that, it was only a matter of time – she was referring to her daughter’s untimely death. The entire world, especially from the music fraternity and Amy’s fans are shocked.

Amy Winehouse was a rare talent. Amy Winehouse was a singer along with a songwriter from Britain. Three years back, at the age of 24, she had won five Grammy awards. There was absolutely no doubt that Amy possessed extraordinary music talent. This goes on to prove that she was loved by the other music pro in her profession and was worshiped by her fans.

Amy Winehouse did have a mean history of drinking. It was no different for her than drinking water. Drugs like cocaine and heroin were a part of her life quite easily. Her mother therefore thinks that, this was going to happen one day. And for that reason she is not in any kind of shock.

The singer was found dead by her bodyguard and was confirmed when police the ambulance crew arrived at the spot.
