Asad Rauf admits to the pictures with Leena Kapoor

Yesterday we had reported to you about the Pakistani cricket umpire Asad Rauf being charged with allegations of sexual assault by an Indian model Leena Kapoor. Mr. Rauf has admitted that the pictures shot with the Indian model Leena Kapoor are not false. However, he said that having mere pictures does not mean that he has any kind of relation with her.

Asad Rauf said that there are many fans of people like him and wish to get photographed with them. Having mere images with someone, especially a woman does not mean that he is having any kind of relationship with her, he asserted. So, just having images should not be blown out of proportion, he emphasized.

According to Leena Kapoor, she and the Pakistani umpire were in touch with each for the last six months or so. She also said that he had promised her to marry her even though he was already married. Being a Muslim, he can marry for the second time as their religion gives permission to do so Leena said this is what Rauf had told her.

Little-known model Leena Kapoor has accused the Pakistani cricket umpire Asad Rauf of exploiting her sexually for at least six months. Ms. Kapoor has said that he had even promised to marry her. Asad Rauf is a Pakistani cricket umpire who is known for his umpiring skills, while Leena Kapoor is a model based in Oshiwara.

Leena Kapoor has written a letter of complaint to the office of Pratap Dighavkar, DCP, zone IX. She said that she had met the umpire around six months ago by virtue of a common friend in Sri Lanka. They kept in touch and their friendship slowly started growing.

When she returned to Mumbai, Rauf came over to see her and there was no looking back ever since. Asad Rauf promised her that he would marry her and also give her a flat. At the same time he admitted to have been already married and also having two children.

But he convinced Leena that his religion allowed to be married for the second time and have one more wife. However, after some days when she tried to get in touch with Rauf, there couldn’t be any answer. But he himself called her up saying he did not know who she was and wasn’t interested in keeping in touch anymore.

As far as Asad Rauf is concerned, he is on the ICC Elite Umpire Panel.
