Not promoting Ram Leela isn’t upsetting Richa Chaddha

Richa Chaddha isn’t promoting Ram Leela – the film in she plays a key role and that isn’t taking a toll on her in any way. On the contrary, she says that she is supporting the strategy of the producers.
On the other hand, the two lead actors in the film, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone on an extensive promotion of the film and Richa does not figure anywhere in there. Speaking in an interview she said that she doesn’t believe things are going against her.
The film is produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and is co-produced by Eros. The film is slated to release on November 15. As far as the promotion is concerned, there are many posters brought out on the occasion. However, in all the posters, only the pair of Ranveer Singh and Deepika is highlighted.

Some YouTube videos are also online and there too only the lead pair can be seen. Richa said that the story of the film revolves around Ranveer and Deepika so the strategy was to promote the film by them.

Deepika Padukone gets away from egg thrashing

Deepika Padukone should consider herself lucky to get away from egg and tomato thrashing in Gujarat. She was taken aback as she never expected to be received this way from her ‘fans’ in Gujarat. She was expecting a warm welcome, as the stars generally receive wherever they go. The reason was the objectionable scenes in the film Ram Leela.
There was a group of protesters who reached the venue as Deepika was going to arrive there. However, as the producers of the film announced that the problematic scenes in question would be removed, they calmed down. Or else, they were just ready to attack Deepika with eggs and tomatoes.
Deepika Padukone, who was in Ahmadabad for garba celebrations, was at the receiving end of the Rabari and Jadeja communities who were present there to express their displeasure about the scenes in the film.

It later came to know that the director of the film Sanjay Leela Bhansali had a talk with the leaders of the community and that he had promised to remove the scenes. Peace ultimately prevailed after this discussion.
