Twist in the tale: Salman Khan calls SRK his friend

Bollywood has always been a home to controversies and cat fights. But when Salman Khan called SRK – Shah Rukh Khan his friend, there were certainly an exercise for the eyebrows. As a matter of fact, Kareena Kapoor and Imran Khan were in the Bigg Boss house to promote their film Gori Tere Pyaar Mein.

It was Salman who happened to ask Kareena if Shah Rukh Khan was the favorite of the Khans. To this Kareena answered in the negative (well, you wonder who her favorite Khan is?!). This is where, during the show, Salman called Shah Rukh as his friend.

Both stars had fallout some five years back and ever since then, they aren’t on talking terms. However, recently the two had met during an Iftaar party and things are looking positive for both of them. There is no doubt that the stars are making an effort to get normalcy back, but it will certainly take time.

Only time has the answer to the relationship the two stars share. But it remains to be seen what has Shah Rukh to say about this. The ball is in his court now.

Shah Rukh Khan avoids questions on patch up

We have been reporting to you about the so-called patch upbetween Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan. There was a statement even from Salman’sfather Salim Khan about the ‘hug’. However, there hasn’t been a word on the same by Shah Rukh Khan yet. And the King Khan has finally spoken.

But what did he speak about the hug? Well, silence was the answer. That’s right. He tried to avoid queries put to him about the Sunday evening incident. Though Shah Rukh didn’t speak a word about the incident openly, he took to Twitter to express himself.

However, he chose to avoid the topic during a recent press conference. The spokespersons were eager to know what SRK’s thought on the new development were and what his future would be about the new ‘friendship’. Shah Rukh was a bit diplomatic regarding the question and chose not to comment anything.

He said that he never spoke about his personal life in the public and will not do so this time as well. His Twitter message on July 22 read, “Finally u realize turning the page is the best feeling in the world, becos there is so much more to the book than the page u were stuck on”

Salman-Shah Rukh friendship might not last long

Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan might as well have patched up. But there are a lot more uncertainties being spoken of. One of them is how long the Salman-Shah Rukh friendship last. Salim Khan, the writer father of Salman Khan has said that he doesn’t see an ever-lasting friendship between the two superstars.

Well, this statement does hold a lot of importance as it has come directly from Salman’s father. This does show that the Salman Khan camp is really not very interested or keen to keep the good work at the Baba Siddiqui’s party the other day.

Salim Khan was also present during the party and according to him it was Salman who made the first move towards SRK, who did reciprocate positively. He said that he was happy for his son who took the first step towards Shah Rukh Khan. He also added that he was proud of his son.

When Salim Khan was asked if things would settle down between the two stars for good, he said there are always problems between two big stars. However, such stars can only have courtesy and hardly any love. He even gave examples of yesteryear stars like Dev Anand, Raj Kapoor and Dilip Kumar who always showed only courtesy towards each other.

Nothing much to read between Salman-Shah Rukh patch up

The fans of the superstars Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan might have been happy about the patch up at the Iftaar party hosted by Baba Siddiqui. However, there are clouds of sadness over the bright developments. According to the sources close to Salman Khan, it was just a greeting and nothing more.

Sohail Khan, Salman’s brother has said that the two were at the same place and at the same time and that is why they greeted each other. They could not say no to their host Baba Siddiqui as both have high regard for him. It will be too premature to expect their reconciliation.

There have been numerous efforts from the mutual friends of both the stars to bring them back to being normal friends. However, any positive developments look a distant possibility for now. One source close to Salman says that bhai – Salman Khan has several times reiterated that being friends with SRK was never going to happen.

One of the common friends of the Khans, Katrina Kaif also tried to bring peace between the two. However, she also failed in her efforts.

There hasn’t been any word from Shah Rukh Khan about the statements coming from Salman’s camp. Wonder, what he has to say!
