A loss for Urmila Matondkar spells gains for Simone Singh

That is the rule of the world – someone’s loss is someone else’ gain. The same happened with Urmila Matondkar and Simone Singh. This has happened innumerable times in the past and is nothing new, especially in a place like Bollywood.

Urmila Matondkar had an offer for Ek Hasina Thi a TV show from Cinevista. So, why the producers had approached the aging Bollywood star is for the reason that she had earlier played the lead role in a film with the same title.

However, Urmila wanted to play the lead role once again and not what the producers wanted her to play. The production house wanted Urmila to be seen in the role of a mother, to which Urmila wasn’t reportedly ready.

The producers didn’t oblige and so did Urmila Matondkar. Finally, another face was chosen, that of Simone Singh. Simone had played a crucial role in a soup Heena, almost 10 years ago. So now, apart from Simone Singh, there will be other two faces in the show that of Vatsal Seth and Sanjeeda Shaikh.

Urmila Matondkar waiting to make a comeback

The Rangeela girl Urmila Matondkar, like Madhuri Dixit and Sridevi is looking to make a comeback as well. There is no doubt that from being a child artist to making a hot comeback in Rangeela, Urmila Matondkar has had a great career. There is hardly anything to repent for her. But now what she wants is making yet another comeback in Bollywood.

After making her comeback after Rangeela, Urmila delivered a number of hits like Judaai, Satya, as well as Ek Hasina Thi. However, the 38 year old actress said that she was happy the way her career had shaped up since her entry in the entertainment industry.

As far as her comeback is concerned, she said that she is looking for something that will be exciting and worth giving a thought to. She said that she was looking for scripts and roles that she had not attempted before. Well, it looks like Urmila is getting choosy about her comeback as well.

Though she has not been seen on the silver screen for a long time, she said that she has been busy in her own world.
