It was Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and Zoya Akhtar all the way at the 57th Idea Filmfare
Awards winning in as many as seven different categories. The film won the Best
Film (Popular and Critics’ Award), Best Director, Best Dialogue. The other
awards were the Best Supporting Actor, Best Choreography and Best Cinematography.
Ranbir Kapoor won in two different categories for his
performance in Rockstar. He won the Popular and the Critics’ Choice
Awards. No marks for guessing this one. The voluptuous Vidya Balan got the Best
Actress Award for portraying Silk Smitha in The Dirty Pictures.
Coming back to Rockstar, A R Rehman got the award for
his ear-pleasing musical score. It was the 20th trophy for the Mozart of
Madras. It was the 2500th statuette with a diamond to boast of. The host, King Khan
did not rule this time with his acting. However, Ra. One won the Best SFX
trophy.
