Yesterday we had reported to you about the Pakistani cricket umpire Asad Rauf being charged with allegations of sexual assault by an Indian model
Leena Kapoor. Mr. Rauf has admitted that the pictures shot with the Indian
model Leena Kapoor are not false. However, he said that having mere pictures
does not mean that he has any kind of relation with her.
Asad Rauf said that there are many fans of people like him
and wish to get photographed with them. Having mere images with someone, especially
a woman does not mean that he is having any kind of relationship with her, he
asserted. So, just having images should not be blown out of proportion, he
emphasized.
According to Leena Kapoor, she and the Pakistani umpire were
in touch with each for the last six months or so. She also said that he had
promised her to marry her even though he was already married. Being a Muslim,
he can marry for the second time as their religion gives permission to do so
Leena said this is what Rauf had told her.
