Aaradhya overshadows mom Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

For once Aishwarya Rai Bachchan would have liked to get overshadowed as the person was none other than her daughter Aaradhya. The baby is not still even one year old and she is already making the headlines all over. Though customarily it is Aishwarya who hogs the limelight, it was her daughter who got one over her.

The baby was certainly looking cute and was dressed in a white frock and a hair band. The youngest member of the Bachchan family was with the other members and her mother when Aishwarya was offered the French Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters. The only member who was absent was Jaya Bachchan.

Aaradhya was constantly crying and wasn’t at all happy when her mother was invited on the stage to accept the award. Finally, her father, Abhishek Bachchan had to take her outside to calm her down. Aishwarya also spoke a word or two about her motherhood.

She was visible happy and elated on all the developments going on around her.

Aamir Khan flies to the US to shoot Dhoom 3

The shooting of Dhoom 3 has finally got underway. According to the latest developments, Aamir Khan has flown to the United States for shooting. It is understood that the climax would be shot there. Mr. Perfectionist was seen with his wife, Kiran Rao and son Azad Rao Khan at the Mumbai airport as they were ready to take off.

If the reports are to be believed, then there will be a fight sequence that is being much talked about a lot. The fight sequence will be between Aamir Khan and Katrina Kaif. Yes, it is a bit hard to believe, but that is the most exciting part of the film.

The shooting will last until the end of October. That is when Aamir will be back in India and will get engaged in the promotional activities for his upcoming film Talaash. The two previous versions of Dhoom have been successful and the same is expected off Dhoom 3 as well.

Apart from Aamir Khan and Katrina Kaif, Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra will also be seen in the film.

Rohit Shetty ready for Bol Bachchan sequel?

Sequels have become the order of the day. If Rohit Shetty agrees, we might expect the sequel of Bol Bachchan very soon. The talented director has already given the hit Golmaal series. His latest release, Bol Bachchan has also been received very warmly by the audience. The director has not ruled out the possibility of a sequel to the film.

The director is already being termed as the Rs. 100 cr. man by someone like Karan Johar. He did not rule out the possibility of making the sequel when he had come to a theater to watch the movie amongst the audience. He was speaking at this time. Abhishek Bachchan who is also a part of the film was with Rohit Shetty.

The Jr. B is also a part of films like Dhoom and is also busy with Dostana 2. However, Abhishek was more than willing to do the sequel to the film. His only concern was persuading Ajay Devgan to work in the sequel as well.

Abhishek Bachchan appreciated for Bol Bachchan

The much talked about film Bol Bachchan finally released yesterday – Friday, July 6. The bulk of the attention was grabbed by the Jr. B, Abhishek Bachchan for his slapstick comedy. Abhishek showed how he can tickle the funny bone quite easily through this film. Overall, the film was also received well by the audience.

Kunal Kohli said that Rohit Shetty’s film was an absolute hilarious one. He also said that the entire team of Bol Bachchan had done a fabulous job. He further said that he laughed so much during the film that his jaws started aching. There could be no exaggeration in this statement as Rohit Shetty has certainly found the cord to tickle the bones of the audience.

Another film director Ashutosh Gowarikar also talked a few good things about the film. He specially praised Ajay Devgan and Abhishek Bachchan in the film. According to him, Abhishek was outstanding. No wonder, Abhishek is on cloud nine after the reviews.

Sexual jokes galore in Dostana 2

The work for the sequel to the 2008 sexual comedy Dostana is currently underway. Dostana 2, as the sequel is titled, has the story written by Tarun Mansukhani. It is understood that the film is set in two continents. The theme of the movie is gay-versus-straight. And yes, you can expect an array of sexual jokes.

A source that is close to the film has termed it as ‘naughty and wicked.’ Both Tarun Mansukhani and Karan Johar will make sure that there will not be jokes that will hurt the sentiments of the gay community. There will be lots of such jokes that may not be suitable for the kids and the children.

John Abraham, who has an important part to play in the film, has said that the plot of the film has finally got set. In a lighter mood he said that Abhishek was his best partner on the screen, with whom he was looking to get cozy.

Beti B is now Aaradhya Bachchan

Ever since Aishwarya Rai Bachchan gave birth to the baby girl on November 17 last year, there have been speculations about her name. Aaradhya Bachchan, we have heard is the name of the newest member of the Bachchan family. Before the birth it was Baby B, now it is Beti B. But finally it seems the baby has a name.

However, the parents – Abhishek and Aishwarya or any of the Bachchan family members has not spoken anything about these reports. So it is difficult to predict what exactly the baby’s name is. But it seems Aaradhya Bachchan might be a great possibility.

Sonam Kapoor hits her minicar while shooting for Players

Even days of practice could not save Sonam Kapoor the blushes of hitting her minicar while shooting for Players. Sonam was shooting for the film in New Zealand when she hit a lamppost with her car. However, it was not a big issue and the car did not suffer any damages. Importantly, everything is fine with Sonam.

Players is Abbas-Mustan’s next film in which Abhishek Bachchan and Sikandar Kher are also a part of. When Sonam was practicing for the driving, everything seemed to be okay with her. However, when it mattered the most, she did the unwanted.

Anil Kapoor was there with his daughter when she had given her nod for the film. Dad was pretty confident that she would fair positively when it comes to driving the auto. However, it turned out exactly the opposite for the Kapoors. As a matter of fact, the 10-day practice that Sonam put in went in vain.

Aishwarya Rai gives birth to a baby girl

Aishwarya and Abhishek Bachchan became the latest parents in the world after Aishwarya Rai gave birth to a baby girl. The news was broken by the first time father Abhishek himself. He tweeted “IT’S A GIRL!!!!!! :-)))))...”. How could the Big B be a silent spectator? He too tweeted “I AM DADA to the cutest baby girl, A dada ji ... Ecstatic.”

Aishwarya had checked in the Seven Hills Hospital as the time for the birth was nearing fast. She is being looked after by Dr Vinita Salvi, who is the head of the obstetrics and gynecology at the hospital in Andheri. Aishwarya has been in the VVIP suite of the Seven Hills hospital. The suite consists of a kitchen, a toilet along with a living room.

There was a lot of buzz about the expectant mother for the past couple of weeks. It kept growing as the days of the birth neared. There was even hard betting for the 11.11.11 date as the birth of the new baby that amounted to a whopping amount of Rs. 150 crores.

A baby girl for Aishwarya and Abhishek Bachchan?

It is being reported that Aishwarya and Abhishek Bachchan would be expecting their first child anytime between November 6 and 10. However, these reports are not coming from reliable sources, so that is just a guess so to say. But nevertheless, everything is in readiness to welcome the junior most Bachchan.

No one knows who it will be – a baby girl or a baby boy. It has already been predicted that Aishwarya Bachchan would give birth to twins. The time for the result is fast approaching. It now remains to be seen if the foretellers get it right or not.

In the meantime, Abhishek, the father-in-waiting has said that he wants a baby girl. Even his close friends are echoing the same feelings and feel that Abhishek would have it his way. The only thing we hope that Abhishek is not making any diplomatic statements about a girl child and that he sincerely thinks in a positive way about the same.

After Amitabh Bachchan Abhishek Bachchan hurt again

Abhishek Bachchan has again been injured. Some days ago we had reported to you about Amitabh Bachchan getting himself hurt during the shooting of the film Department. But the Jr. Bachchan is at the receiving end again. However, the unfortunate incident did not take place either on the sets or during the shooting.

The crew members of the film Bol Bachchan were playing cricket when Abhishek got hurt. The ball zoomed towards Abhishek. As he tried to avoid the ball, it hit him on his hand. As a matter of fact, Abhishek Bachchan got a hairline fracture in the ring finger of his left hand.

Abhishek then tweeted on the social site Twitter, “...I fractured my finger. It’s what I would like to call a sympathy wound”. As we have told you before, even Amitabh Bachchan is not well. He got hurt in the chest while shooting for Department. He awarded himself a hairline fracture in the ribs.

However, the mega star had the guts to have a lighthearted tweet on Twitter. “My hairline fracture on rib has a companion - Mr Abhishek Bachchan. He has had a hairline fracture on his finger on shoot in Jaipur for Bol Bachchan”, this is what he said.

Russell Peters upsets the fans of Aishwarya Rai

Russell Peters is at the receiving end at the hands of the fans of Aishwarya Rai. The actor, who is not too well known in India, is an Indo-Canadian comedian. One of his statements was that, Aishwarya can’t act. He did not stop there. He even took on Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan. Russell Peters called Aamir an ‘a d***khead’.

As a matter of fact Russell Peters features in the film Breakaway, which is produced by Akshay Kumar. Aishwarya Rai was virtually upset with these developments. She wanted to know why Akshay Kumar did not take any measures to control the damage made by the actor. Secondly, Ash also demanded how can anyone (Russell Peters) make fun of her as a mother?

A few complaints also sprang up at the National Commission for Women. That is not all. A few forums on the internet have also started similar discussions. Some of the discussions also spoke of boycotting the film Breakaway as Russell Peters is also a part of the film.

It is really surprising how Akshay Kumar has not yet come forward with any message yet. In fact, Akshay Kumar is a good friend of the Bachchans. Both Aishwarya Rai and Akshay Kumar are good friends personally too. There is yet no word from Aamir Khan, though.

Amitabh Bachchan injures himself while shooting for Department

Mega star Amitabh Bachchan was injured while shooting for his next film Department. It was a freak accident that took place with Big B on the sets of Department. As a matter of fact, Amitabh got hit in the chest and rib cage during the shooting. It might be an accidental blow on the chest.

After the blow, Amitabh was experiencing some problems in breathing. However, the doctor attending on the star said that it is nothing serious and that the minor problem would be solved on its own. The incident took place in Jaipur where the crew and cast of Department are currently stationed.

Amitabh Bachchan then tweeted for his fans. “People of twitter world, relax! Should never have mentioned… just an accidental… hit by either an elbow or the butt of a carbine!!”

Incidentally, Amitabh Bachchan is not the only member from the family to be injured. Some days ago, Abhishek Bachchan, Big B’s son was also injured. He had then suffered a minor cut on the forehead.

Will Farhan Akhtar play the character of Milkha Singh?

If all the things fall in place, Farhan Akhtar might play the character of the Indian runner – The Flying Sikh. Farhan Akhtar has hardly ever thought of acting in films outside his own banner, Excel Entertainment. However, he is now also considering films with good scripts. The upcoming film on Milkha Singh could be one of those to start off.

It was first thought that the protagonist in the film could be Akshay Kumar. Milkha Singh himself felt that Akshay Kumar is the best bet for playing his character. He is a Punjabi and has the right physique for such a role. Milkha also said that Akshay acts well.

However, apart from Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan was also being considered seriously for the role. There were reports about the same in various channels of the media. But it seems that the Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara star has come first in the race by defeating both Akshay Kumar and Abhishek Bachchan.

The film is to be directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and is titled Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. It is expected that the shooting of the film will start only in the next year.

Ever since Big B announced his daughter-in-law’s pregnancy, many have left other stories behind and are writing on this one. Anyways, Salman Khan is one of the latest Bollywood celebrities to congratulate Aishwarya Rai for giving the entire world the good news. Please, do not let it sound odd, Sallu has already forgotten the past.

This is what he had to say about the news to reporters after hearing the news, “I congratulate Abhishek and Aishwarya. I have become a Chacha and I would like to congratulate Mr. Bachchan that he is going to become a grandfather. I wish they have 7 kids. I hope they make a whole football team.”

Well, let us paraphrase it. First of all the word chacha. How about using mama instead of chacha? If Salman has forgotten the past, let him be addressed as a mama. The logic behind wishing for 7 kids is not too clear. Does he mean the two sr. Bachchan couples plus the 7 kids to make it 11?

And why a football team, when India has just around won the cricket World Cup? Well, Salman has a lot of things to correct about.

Ever since the famous marriage of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan took place, there have been reports of Aishwarya getting pregnant all the while. However, the slim and trim figure of Ash always answered the critics and the rumor mongers. Every time they had to beat an unsuccessful retreat.
However, this time around there no dishonesty in the news. The reason is the news of Aishwarya’s pregnancy is coming from the most reliable source. No, it is not her hubby Abhishek, but in fact it’s Big B who has spilled the beans. This is what he said on Twitter and the world came to know about it “NEWS NEWS NEWS !! Amitabh Bachchan will play gangster in Ram Gopal Varma’s Department

The cold war between Amitabh Bachchan and Ram Gopal Varma is over finally. The acclaimed director will cast the senior actor in his film Department. It was earlier rumored that Amitabh Bachchan has walked out of the Ram Gopal Varma film. However, with things settling down, things are returning to normalcy.

If those reports were believed, then actually Amitabh Bachchan had walked out of Department, when he came to know that it was the director who had brought disrepute to his son. However, things took a cozy turn when Ram Gopal Varma visited the Big B’s residence on Wednesday night.

The very next morning, he ‘exposed’ Big B’s role in the film (well, finally he did expose someone’s role). He said that Amitabh would be playing the role of a politician who was a former gangster. RGV said, “Imagine the Agneepath character turning over a new leaf and yet to have the same hard intensity and been there done that know-how”.

RGV did not forget to mention that his respect towards the Bachchan family was one of its kinds. He respected the family a lot. He even went on to add the reason for not having Abhishek in Department. It was all due to the date issues, he said.

Ram Gopal Varma and Bachchans are on good terms

Taking a U-turn about the past developments, Ram Gopal Varma has denied having any rift between him and the Bachchan family. He also said that everything was fine between him and the Bachchan parivar. He denied exposing the end of the film Dum Maaro Dum with texting messages and also articulated the reason for replacing Abhishek Bachchan with Rana.

Ram Gopal Varma also said that he did never divulge the end of the film as had been reported in the recent news. He safeguarded his position by saying that if he ever needed to do so, then he would have taken the help of social networking sites (to make the end known to one and all).

He also dared ask what difference it would have made to the public in general even if he had texted the message through his cell phone. What he meant to say was that, the end still remains unknown to the public and makes no harm to the people concerned with the film.

In respect to casting Rana instead of Abhishek Bachchan in the film, the acclaimed director said that the change has to be made due to the clash of dates. There should not be much read between the lines about this matter.

Abhishek Bachchan won’t do Ram Gopal Varma’s Department

The tension between Abhishek Bachchan and Ram Gopal Varma finally saw the bad taste when Abhi was dropped from Department. Actually, both Ram Gopal Varma and Abhishek Bachchan were not in cordial relations for the past few days.

It was reported that Ram Gopal Varma was conveying all his friends about the end of the film Dum Maaro Dum. He did not even spare Abhishek when Ramu commented about him (not in the right taste, obviously). However, RGV has brought in Rana Daggubati to replace Abhishek in the film.

It was not even one week ago that RGV commented about Dum Maaro Dum and Abhishek. However, had everything been going okay between them, Department could have been the fourth film between Ram Gopal Varma and Abhishek Bachchan. Before this, they have done films like Sarkar and Sarkar Raj – both of which were appreciated a lot.

If sources from Ram Gopal Varma’s side are to be believed, then Abhishek Bachchan did not respond to the director’s calls as he used to do before. This certainly irked RGV to the extent that he not only dropped Abhishek from his film, but also spelled out the end of Dum Maaro Dum before taking a dig at the Jr. B.

Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai won’t have holiday on fourth anniversary

The most famous pair of Bollywood, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai will not have any holiday for their fourth anniversary. Work will keep them busy on the day – April 20. The couple got married on April 20, 2007 and it was one of the most talked about marriages of Bollywood ever.

Dum Maaro Dum is releasing on April 22 and the promotions of the film will certainly keep Abhishek busy. Therefore, there is hardly any chance that Abhishek will have any free time on hands. After the release of Dum Maaro Dum Abhishek will start the shooting of his next schedule.

Abhishek will be flying to Russia for the shooting of Abbas-Mustan’s Players. That will keep him busy even later and that will leave no space for Abhi to spend some personal moments with his wife.

However, it is not that they never had time for holidaying. They had managed to get some free time for their previous anniversaries. In 2010, the couple had gone to the United States. 2009 also, they could find time from their tight schedule.

In 2008, Abhishek was shooting in the United States for his much acclaimed film Dostana, where Ash had joined him for the celebrations of their first ever anniversary.
