Shah Rukh Khan has once again got injured about which we had reported to you earlier. It is not the first time that SRK is injured. But every time he is virtually ignoring the injury and this time is also no different. There is no doubt that Shah Rukh is putting up a brave face.

Farah Khan has said about Shah Rukh Khan’s injury that he is putting up a face that the injury is a very minor one. There is another reason for SRK to play down his injury. He does not want the shooting schedules to be affected.

Apart from his previous shoulder injury, there is also the knee injury that SRK has to deal with. Speaking about his injury, Farah said that if it weren’t for SRK, any other actor would have wanted to take rest.

However, the shooting of the film with Farah would resume soon and there would only be low passion scenes so that SRK might not have to put in too much of physical energy.

Former beauty queens Sushmita Sen and Juhi Chawla were spotted during the wedding of Raageshwari Loomba and Sudhanshu Swaroop. The atmosphere was filled with the shehanai and food along with flowers all around. In short, it was a typical Indian wedding in an Indian style.

Bhaag Milka Bhaag: Best Film at Filmfare Awards

Bhaag Milka Bhaag has won awards at the Filmfare Awards and has been chosen as the best film. Apart from this, there are two other ‘best’ awards credited to the film. These two are in the ‘the best actor’ and ‘the best director’ category. The film is based on the athlete Milkha Singh.

Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra has directed the film, while the lead role has been played by Farhan Akhtar. The list of the awards won by the film does not end here. The film also won an award for the best costume by Dolly Ahluwalia as well as the best production design by Acropolis Design.

The best lyrics also went for Bhaag Milka Bhaag for the song ‘Zinda’, which has been written by Prasoon Joshi. Deepika Padukone was the best actress for her role in Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra hosted the show that was attended by stars like Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha amongst many other stars.

Shah Rukh Khan faces minor injuries during shoot

Shah Rukh Khan suffered some minor injuries during the shooting of one of his forthcoming movies, Happy New Year. He was given the required medical attention after which he was taken to the Nanavati hospital, an official statement has said.

The official statement from the actor’s office read: “He has a minor injury and has got the necessary medical aid. He is absolutely fine now.”

There were confirmed reports that the actor was in the physiotherapy department of the Dr. Balabhai Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai.

Alia Bhatt sings for A R Rahman

After Priyanka Chopra who showed her singing skills, it is the turn of Alia Bhatt to do the same. But believe what you hear. Alia does sing and she sings very well indeed. The newbie in the industry has sung the song ‘Sooha Saha’ that is composed by none other than A R Rahman himself.

The song is from the film Highway. Alia says that singing has been of the best experiences that came her way totally unexpected. Speaking about it further, she said that she knew that she would manage to act anyhow, but singing was something totally different.

On a lighter note she said that if she fails as an actor, singing will be the other option that will remain open for her. Alia added that she didn’t do many rehearsals. As far as the Mozart of Madras is concerned, Alia said that Rahman Sir was pretty patient with her singing.

The film Highway is directed by Imtiaz Ali and will hit the theatres on February 21.

Kareena Kapoor to be the brand ambassador of Tetley Tea

Kareena Kapoor will be seen as a new brand ambassador of yet another product – the Tetley Tea. The Tata Global Beverages Ltd is the owners of this British tea brand.

This is the launch of the green tea and an effort to reach out to the smaller towns and markets. Kareena Kapoor will play an important role in the re-launch of the green tea for the company as they are banking on her popularity to gain more market share.

The information was given by Vikram Grover, who is the vice president for India and South Asia for Tata Global Beverages marketing. There is no doubt that the company is taking the re-launch seriously as they have roped in one of the top Bollywood actresses today.

There is enough stress on marketing and for that the company has done a good sort of investment. However, the amount invested hasn’t been disclosed. But it is certain that they will reach out through all the possible media – the print, TV and digital.

The tea is sold in as many as 40 countries with six various flavors.

Is the end of the game for Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif?

Would you believe it that Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif aren’t even talking to each other? Looks like the fairy tale is over for the two Bollywood stars. The two were seen returning to India, separately after spending their holidays in the United States.

It looks like the two went through some differences on the trip and things are looking sour for the two at the moment. What’s more, the two are even maintaining some sort of distance even on the sets of the film that they are currently shooting with each other.

Ranbir and Katrina are currently busy with the shooting of Anurag Basu’s Jagga Jasoos. However, the same kind of closeness is missing from the two of them at the moment. But how big the differences are, is still unknown and it may take time to know it.

In the meantime, that will be great for some rumormongers to go around taking the advantage of the situation. But we hope that it’s just a passing difference between Ranbir and Katrina as is common between two love birds.

Salman Khan to launch Daisy Shah in Jai Ho

By the way Salman Khan has launched many leading ladies in Bollywood until now. Now, it is the turn of Daisy Shah to feature in Jai Ho and she is in the news for the same reason. Salman will be seen sharing the screen space with Daisy, who is a little-known actress.

Sonakshi Sinha and Katrina Kaif are the two prominent actresses who made their debut films along with Salman Khan. And now, the latest addition in this list is Daisy Shah. But what is the reason for launching Daisy in Jai Ho?

Well, there is logic for Salman Khan. He says that he too was launched by someone when he was a newcomer in the industry. Someone had given him a break and he is doing the same now, Salman feels.

Speaking more about this, Salman said that if he finds faith in someone’s acting or that he thinks that he/she is a talented actress, then he doesn’t mind launching the newcomer in the industry.

Rupesh Paul to sue Sherlyn Chopra for a sum of Rs 5 crores

Writer and director of Kamasutra 3D Rupesh Paul will be suing actress Sherlyn Chopra for a sum of Rs. 5 crores. According to the director, Sherlyn defamed him as well as the movie in public. He further added that Sherlyn used abusive language on the social sites (probably where the messages were posted).

The actress could be possibly booked under sections 415, 417, 418, 499, 500 and 503 of IPC (Indian Penal Code). Apart from that the director also intends to book the actress under sections 1860 and section 66 A of the Information Technology Act.

The notice is dated for January 15 this year. She had declared in a forum that she had quit the film. If reports are to be believed, she has been using offensive language against Rupesh Paul and has a chain of tweets as well. One of the pictures shows her with her middle finger up, is certainly targeted at the director.

There is still no word from Sherlyn on the legal notice that the director is planning against her. Her side of the story is awaited.

Katrina Kaif and Saif Ali Khan to star in Phantom

Katrina Kaif and Saif Ali Khan will be seen sharing the screen space for their upcoming film Phantom. The film will be directed by Kabir Khan, who had last directed Ek Tha Tiger, the blockbuster movie starring Salman Khan.

The stars are currently shooting in Kashmir. Kabir said that there is no better place anywhere in the world than shooting in Kashmir and that too in Gulmarg in the winter days. He father said that the crew and the cast were shooting in Kashmir for a few days and that the shooting will get over soon.

The film is based on the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack and its fallout. Speaking about the film and the shooting, Kabir said that there are film makers these days who are ready and willing to come to Kashmir for the shooting of their films.

Kabul Express and New York were the films to Kabir Khan’s credit before he directed Ek Tha Tiger. Now, Sajid Nadiadwala’s thriller will be the talk of the town as well.

Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan hug at awards show

As they say history repeats itself, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan have once again hugged each other. It looks like every time the two Khans hug, it makes headlines. The two came together and hugged each other Star Guild Awards on Thursday in mumbai.

It was a very pleasant interation both for the actors as well as for the onlookers. No doubt, the two Khans silenced their critics as they hugged not once, but as many as two times with curious people all around them. SRK went on the stage a couple of times to receive his awards and at both times, he hugges Salman Khan.

What’s more, after Aamir Khan, Salman Khan got a new star to promote his film in Shah Rukh Khan. Salman congratulated SRK on the success of his film Chennai Express that released last year. In response, SRK also promoted his film and loudly shouted ‘Jai Ho’.

It was back in July last year that the two Khans first met publicly and hugged each other at an Iftaar party. Since then it is the second time that the two stars are meeting each other in public. For now, it looks like the two superstars of Bollywood are getting close once again.

Will Ranbir Kapoor host next Bigg Boss season?

Salman Khan has hosted as many as four seasons of the reality show Bigg Boss. Ranbir Kapoor, it is reported, may host the next season of the show. There have been seven seasons of the show so far. Salmon has hosted four of them and it doesn't look like he will host another season.

As a matter of fact Salman Khan himself is reluctant to host another season again. One of the reasons is that he will be with his new show on social causes. This will keep him busy. However, there is another reason why Salman Khan may quit the show.

The superstar was unhappy when the producers brought back Kushal Random on the show. He had showed his displeasure as well. This now gives a chance to Ranbir Kapoor to host any reality show for the first time.

It remains to be seen what approach Ranbir takes when he starts hosting the next season. However, it is very premature to talk about anything right now.

SRK’s studios had also worked for the VFX for Hrithik Roshan starrer Krrish 3. He did not forget to mention his company’s role in doing the graphics for Krrish 3.

Deepika Padukone busy with Screen Awards 2014 rehearsals

Deepika Padukone is busy with the rehearsals for the Screen Awards 2014. These dance rehearsals will ultimately showcase the efforts that the actress has taken when she performs on the award nights. In the rehearsals, she was seen in a black tracksuit and looked pretty gorgeous.

The awards night is today itself – on January 14 and these are the 20th Annual Screen Awards 2014. Deepika had a great 2013 and she is one of the apt actresses to perform at the awards show. She had as many as four hits during the last year and success was following her all the year long.

Madhuri Dixit and Huma Qureshi promote Dedh Ishqiya on Comedy Circus

Madhuri Dixit and Huma Qureshi were the guest judges on the popular show Comedy Circus on Sony TV. The two ladies were actually there to promote their film Dedh Ishqiya. They were at the show from the start to the end and seemed to enjoy the live comedy that they were watching in front of their eyes.

Dedh Ishqiya is a film that depicts the romance between the individuals who are caught between a net of passion, crime coupled with suspense. Apart from Madhuri and Huma, Arshad Warsi apart from Naseeruddin Shah. The film has released on January 10, 2014.

The film is also doing good business and according to the latest reports, it has collected Rs. 10 crores in the domestic market. However, some distributors are a tad unhappy seeing the collection. But on the other hand, some people are giving full marks to the film as it is not a masala film.

Aamir Khan is promoting Salman Khan’s ‘Jai Ho’

Very rarely does this happen that one superstar promotes the film for another superstar. However, Aamir Khan is currently promoting Salman Khan’s ‘Jai Ho’ and is doing the same as what Salman had done for him.

In the recently concluded season of Bigg Boss Saath 7, Salman Khan was seen promoting the film Dhoom 3 for Aamir Khan. In one of the episodes, Salman was also even seen sporting a Dhoom 3 hat. The film shattered records all over and set new benchmarks in a matter of a few days.

As a matter of fact, Aamir wasn’t pretty much involved in the promotion of Dhoom 3 and relatively kept himself away from the media glare. But the purpose was already served and the film went on to become a huge hit.

Now, it is time for Aamir to return the favor. Promoting Salman’s film, Aamir tweeted, “12 days to go...’Jai Ho’!” yesterday.

The two were seen in the film Andaz Apna Apna, which was a comedy film released exactly 20 years back.

Another Satyamev Jayate this time by Salman Khan

The Indian TV world may see another Satyamev Jayate very soon. However, it will not be Aamir Khan, but Salman Khan who will be doing the show. He says that the show will be a different one and that it will have more of an entertainment quotient as well. The show is expected to start only the next year.

Salman Khan has hosted the most number of seasons of the reality show Bigg Boss. Apart from that he also hosted Dus Ka Dum a few years back. So, hosting a reality show is nothing new to Salman Khan. However, the topic and a show that we are talking about are totally different.

The Dabangg star expressed confidence that the show will soon change many a thing. However, the show will have social causes as the backbone to rely on. Salman himself said that he will be hosting the show. There are now hardly any guesses on this matter.

Deepika Padukone spends birthday with Ranveer Singh in US

Deepika Padukone turned 28 years old on Sunday, January 5 this year. And the birthday celebrations were marked by Deepika spending the day with her beau Ranveer Singh in the US. The two were in New York for the day, as a matter of fact.

There were a few onlookers who spotted the couple in the city and the pictures were then tweeted. And as Bollywood actresses (and even actors) hardly acknowledge their affair, so was the stance of Deepika. She has never openly admitted to the relationship with Ranveer.

Deepika was on the chat show Koffee with Karan. There too show was asked about her relationship with Ranveer Singh. And to a question she answered, “Am I dating him?” However, she was diplomatic when answering the question about openly admitting her love for Ranveer.

John Abraham marries Priya Runchal

If the reports are anything to go by, Bollywood actor John Abraham has married Priya Runchal. John had started dating Priya Runchal when he broke up with his actress girlfriend Bipasha Basu after a long relationship of nearly 10 years. But why say ‘reports’ when John himself has confirmed the news on his Twitter page?

The marriage was a private affair for the actor, who got married to Priya in the Los Angeles, United State. It was John who himself came up with the confirmation of the news along with a Happy New Year message on Twitter.

In the message he added the last name Abraham to Priya’s name. John’s Twitter message read something like this:

“Wishing you and your loved ones a blessed 2014! May this year bring you love, good fortune and joy. Love, John and Priya Abraham.” – @TheJohnAbraham

John and Priya were spending their holidays in the US and that’s why only a few family friends were present and it was a private affair for both the families.

Aditya Chopra and Rani Mukerji to get married soon

Producer Aditya Chopra and Bollywood actress Rani Mukerji have decided to move forward with their relationship. They now plan to get married soon. They have been dating each other for a long time now and the reports of their marriage also surfaced many times in the media.

If the reports are anything to go by, the two will be tying the knot at the Umaid Bhavan Palace in Jodhpur. The date has also been fixed for February 10. It must be mentioned that Umaid Bhavan Palace is the same place where Nita Ambani had recently hosted her birthday party.

Dhoom 3 nearing collections of Rs 400 crore

Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan showed how it is done. The superstar acted in the third installment of Dhoom – Dhoom 3 and the film is breaking and setting records all over. There is hardly any place in the entertainment world where Dhoom 3 hasn’t had its say.

Dhoom 3 had reached collections of Rs 300 crores – worldwide – in only eight days flat. There has been no looking for the star ever since the film released and it has been an upward graph for everyone involved. The film has set new benchmarks with exceptional box office collections of more than Rs. 350 crores at the moment.

In fact, as of Monday, the collections stood at Rs. 368.23 crores. There might have hardly been a film that has been so successful in such a short period of time. The success of Dhoom 3 is exceptional, no doubt.
