Freida Pinto denies reports of marriage with Dev Patel

The Oscar award winning film Slumdog Millionaire brought Freida Pinto and Dev Patel into instant limelight. After the film’s release, there were many reports doing the rounds that the two leading stars in the film were dating and would get married soon. However, nothing as such as proved in the days to come.

The two are in the news once again because of the apparent rumors doing the rounds. There were news reports claiming that Freida Pinto and Dev Patel had married in a secret ceremony. There is no truth in the reports, claims Freida Pinto.

She went on to say that, there is no possibility that the two will get married at least for five more years to come. However, at the same time she also defended her statement saying, though she is denying her marriage to Dev, she cannot forecast what decision she may take in the future.

The two had met on the sets of the film Slumdog Millionaire for the first time in their life. Since then they have been together. However, Freida Pinto has been busier than Dev Patel. Freida did as many as four films in only 11 months. On the other hand, Dev Patel has been less busy.

Freida Pinto wants to turn a producer

The Slumdog Millionaire star Freida Pinto wants to give another angle to her professional career. This time it is all about producing a movie. Yes, that is right. Freida Pinto wants to produce movies in the coming days. She has been very honest and up coy about her desire and did not mince her words while expressing the same.

However, even if Freida Pinto has not been India for a major part of her career, she wants to produce an Indian film (we suppose a Hindi film in Bollywood) of her own. But for that, she wants to get enough knowledge of the entire film production process. For this reason, Freida Pinto wants to get training abroad.

Freida is leaving no stone unturned. She wants to produce a film that would be of international standards. That is why she is not running into any project right now. It will be a snail’s pace at the moment. Apart from that there is no word on what topic the film will be made. There are no such details available at the moment. Understandably so, there is lot to do before the film sees the light of the day.

Freida Pinto has sex scene in Immortals

Freida Pinto might have done many memorable roles. However, the one she will herself remember the most is the role in Immortals. Immortals is a film which will be shot in 3D. Mickey Rourke is the actor with whom Freida will be seen getting cozy. The director of the film is Tarsem Singh.

The director was very well aware of the fact that Freida had never done any such scene before. This is going to be her first time. Therefore, it is also going to be critical for her at the same time. However, as a true professional, Freida has to go through it.

Tarsem Singh tried to make the situation lighter for Freida. There will be only 80 people during the shooting of the delicate scenes. Around 25% of the people present there will be the crew members especially the cameramen.

In the film, Freida plays the role of a priestess whose name is Phaedra. The film is based on the Greek epic called Immortals. Mickey Rourke, her co-star, will play the character of the King Hyperion, who is evil by nature. The sole aim of the King Hyperion is to find the Epirus Bow – a weapon that is understood to sport unimaginable powers.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to walk the Red Carpet in Paris

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will be gracing the Cannes Film Festival this year when she walks on the Red Carpet for L’Oreal Paris. The Cannes Film Festival will be held from May 11 to May 22, 2011. Aishwarya will be accompanied by two other beautiful women from the film industry, namely Freida Pinto and Sonam Kapoor.

L’Oreal Paris and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan have a very lengthy association with each other. They have been working in tandem for the past ten years, while the cosmetic company has been the official make-up partner of the world-famous fest for at least 14 years now.

Aishwarya will walk the prestigious Red Carpet on May 11, when the opening ceremony of the festival will be held. Ash had also walked the carpet last year as well. Well, why speak only of the last year; Aishwarya has been walking the Red Carpet for the last ten years without fail.

It is the first year for both Freida Pinto and Sonam Kapoor to represent L’Oreal Paris at the Cannes Film Festival. Sonam will walk the Red Carpet on May 15. Freida Pinto, on the other hand, will represent L’Oreal Paris at the amFAR (The American Foundation for AIDS Research), where there will be dinner and after-party on May 19.
