Monica Bedi signs Punjabi film Sirphire

There is good news for all the fans of Monica Bedi. The budding actress whose acting career was cut short by some unfortunate turn of incidents is back to her normal self. In one of the best things that could happen to her was that the beautiful actress got a film to act in.
The film is titled Sirphire and there will Priyanshu Chatterjee, of the Tum Bin fame who will be cast opposite her. After her ‘notorious’ past, she was first seen in the reality show, Bigg Boss. After that she did another show Jhalak Dikhla Ja. That is not all she also featured in Nepali, Tamil and Bangla cinemas.
So in this sense, Sirphire will not be her first film after making a comeback. She said that she was very eagerly awaiting a Punjabi film, which has finally now got. Confidence and happiness was oozing from her face. She looked a lot more relaxed than her former self.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film on Abu Salem and Monica Bedi?

Acclaimed director Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next film My Friend Pinto is in the news. It is a sort of controversial affair as far as the contents of the film are concerned. It is a slight depiction of the love affair of underworld don Abu Salem and his Bollywood girlfriend Monica Bedi.

The character of Abu Salem is played by Makrand Deshpande and that of Monica Bedi is played by Divya Dutta. Makrand Deshpande is a gangster who kids with the idea of making films. However, he faces huge losses in the business. The frustration then leads him to the underworld to lead a risky life. It is then that he falls in love with an upcoming actress (Divya Dutta).

It is but natural that Divya Dutta does not feel comfortable and secure with Makrand Deshpande. That is why she tries to find another guy for her company. This is exactly as Monica Bedi did with Rahul Mahajan in Bigg Boss.

Though the sources say that the film is not entirely based on Abu Salem and Monica Bedi, there is little doubt that the story resembles it more than one way.
