This is not something
for the faint hearted or for those who do not believe in ghosts. If reports are
to be believed, then Smita Patil’s ghost is always present on the sets of My
Friend Pinto. Prateik Babbar is the son of the late Smita Patil who was one
of the finest actresses of her times.
The film,
which is directed by Raghav Dhar also confirms the presence of ‘someone’ on the
sets. Even producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali has given the same reaction about
this. Smita Patil is present on the sets, the crew members of the film feel.
Though Prateik
feels that he wants to get away from the comparisons being made between him and
his mother, it does not seem to be possible so easily. Smita’s spirit hovered
so closely that the speed of the shooting had to be brought down at times.
A source close
to the film said that they have never been interested in knowing how close Smita
Patil was to her son at other occasions. But the source also mentioned that for
the film My Friend Pinto, she is certainly there.
