Katrina Kaif and Kareena Kapoor won’t perform on New Year eve

The New Year Eve is a great time for the Bollywood hotties to make some quick money. However, it is learnt that Katrina Kaif and Kareena Kapoor, two of the leading prominent actresses in Bollywood will not be performing on the New Year eve. It was expected that they would do it this year, but that’s not going to happen. 

Katrina Kaif generally spends the final days of the year with her family in her home in London. This year too she will be amongst her near and dear ones to usher in the New Year. Katrina has a history of spending these days with her mother and this year might be no exception either.

As far as Kareena Kapoor is concerned, there is no question of her performing as well. After all, she has become a member of a royal family now. Moreover, she will be spending her time with her husband Saif Ali Khan when both of them will be vacationing. However, both Katrina and Kareena will be doing stage shows in 2013.

The not so ‘popular’ stars in the category that charge lesser are Zarine Khan, Riya Sen as well as Yana Gupta who are said to be paid about Rs. 20 lakhs for such shows. And yes, do not forget adult star Sunny Leone who is said to have been offered Rs. 26 lakhs for performing on New Year eve.

Riya Sen refuses to shoot an item song for Ek Bura Aadmi

If the reports are anything to go by, Riya Sen has refused to shoot an item song for the film Ek Bura Aadmi. The song reads like this: “Uchal gayee chamiya kunwaron ke beech mein”. It is learnt that Riya Sen not only refused to shoot the song, but also refused to have a word with the media.

According to the director of the film, Riya did not come to for rehearsals at all. The messages from her side were that she was not feeling well and that is why she can’t show up for the rehearsals. However, she showed up only for one shot to shoot for, the director claims.

The director of the film is Ishraq Shah. There are lots of troubles for this man now. The other lead in the film Arunodoy Singh has already gone to the United States for a month to be with his family. Riya Sen is throwing tantrums. No wonder, Ishraq Shah is a worried man.

Riya Sen walks out on the Ashmit Patel SMS scandal

The dead and buried Riya Sen-Ashmit Patel SMS scandal came back to life during a live shooting of MTV’s Crunch. However, all was not well with the Bengali actress as her past came back to haunt her. It was the unwanted topic of the SMS scandal with her former boyfriend Ashmit Patel that cropped up.

It so happened that, she was committed to be on the show for the entire day – from 11 am to 7 pm. However, when the questions on Ashmit Patel started to crop up, Riya started to lose her balance and cool as well. She was supposed to talk with a couple of participants to start off.

Two of them James and Shakespeare were present there already. They were more than interested in knowing how she and Ashmit spent their time. Initially, Riya was cool enough to just answer them saying we will talk about this later.

When on one hand, the Ashmit topic kept creeping up again and again, on the other, Riya was unsuccessfully trying to keep her cool. Finally, she had enough of it when the contestants persisted with the same questions. In around 30 minutes, Riya had left the studio.
