Katrina Kaif believes in healthy competition

A win and positive results is what everyone wants for himself/herself and Katrina Kaif is certainly one of them. When on one hand Deepika Padukone got three hits on the trot, Katrina is undeterred by her success and believes that there should be healthy competition. For her competition is fruitful.

When she was asked if the success of Deepika had any sort of pressure on her, Katrina said that she is happy the way her career is going. Being a bit diplomatic, she said that God gave her more than what she asked for and that’s she why feels blessed.

She further said that improvement in oneself is a good feeling and it’s good to improve oneself. Competition is good because, it gives a push to doing good things. Even if there is competition for Katrina from someone like Deepika, she is waiting for the release of Dhoom 3, which is expected to do well at the box office.

Things still not good for Malaika Arora Khan and Katrina Kaif

Things weren’t pretty good between Malaika Arora Khan and Katrina Kaif. The two ladies have always shared cold vibes. Katrina has never been an appreciated guest at the Khan-daan. And as a matter of fact, such cat fights aren’t a new affair in Bollywood.

But ever since the pictures of Katrina Kaif with Ranbir Kapoor have gone public, there has been no reason for Malaika to put up a false smile on her face. Malaika, who never acknowledged the relationship between her brother-in-law and Katrina Kaif looks relaxed now.

However, Katrina still does not mind visiting the Khans whenever the opportunity is there. Actually she did drop by Alvira’s place on the occasion of the Ganesh Chaturthi. Malaika too was present there. However, Katrina Kaif preferred to be with Salman’s mother Salma, while the daughter-in-law was with Sohail.

One of the sources added that the occasion was a blissful and auspicious one. Yet, the two of them did not mind at least acknowledging each other even when the entire family was present there.

Both Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan are unmarried and Katrina Kaif can make a good wife for Salman Khan. The talks of Salman Khan getting married are doing the rounds and who else would suit Salman Khan better than his love interest Katrina Kaif. It would be one of the best Bollywood pairs.

But who is saying all this? Well, it came to notice through a poll taken by a matrimonial site. In the survey, votes of as many as 21,000 people were recorded. Out of those people, around 69.84% people responded in favor of Katrina Kaif getting married to Salman Khan.

The 69.84% fans feel that even if Katrina Kaif is only 28 years old, she and Salman, 47 can make a good pair. The survey has revealed another interesting result. About 62% men feel that Salman Khan should never marry in his life and on the other hand, 60.37% women want Salman to settle down in life as early as he can.

The survey also had people from the south say that Sonakshi Sinha – his co-star in Dabangg could be his life partner, while people from the north would like Asin to tie the knot with Salman Khan.

Katrina Kaif to perform at four award shows in January

Katrina Kaif will begin 2013 on a bang while performing at award shows in January itself. It is learnt that Katrina will be performing at four such award shows. If the figures are to be believed, she will be getting paid almost Rs. 10 crores for all these four shows. As the year 2012 was, so it seems will be the case for her in the next year.

Katrina Kaif delivered two hits this year, one each with Salman Khan and the other with Shah Rukh Khan. With Salman Khan first it was Ek Tha Tiger and then with Shah Rukh Khan, the recently released Jab Tak Hai Jaan. Both the films broke into the Rs. 100 cr. club. That automatically increased the market value for Katrina Kaif.

The success for Katrina at the box office does not only mean that she has a high value for her presence at the shows and stage performances, but in fact, she will also have a greater range to choose the numbers to perform at the shows.

Esha Deol wishes good luck to Katrina Kaif

Esha Deol, who was seen in the first make of Dhoom has wished good luck to Katrina Kaif. Katrina will be seen in the third version of the film that is slated to release next year. She will be in the lead along with Mr. Perfectionist, Aamir Khan.

The film is an action packed thriller and one really knows what action and thrill is all about when one watches the film. Having got a couple of successes with both the previous versions, it is a big responsibility on Aamir Khan and Katrina Kaif to pull things off.

The Deol girl however expressed her sadness at not being able to remain in the Dhoom series. Esha might not have too many hits to her credit. But who can forget this movie and the title song? Even if Esha Deol goes on to be a part of films or not, even if she delivers another hits or not is a different matter, but she will remain an integral part of the Dhoom trilogy.

Priyanka Chopra has been crowned the Sexiest Asian woman. She got the better of actresses like Kareena Kapoor and Katrina Kaif. The poll was conducted as an online poll by a weekly magazine called Eastern Eye. The other beauties – Kareena Kapoor came second while Katrina Kaif completed the first three women in the list.

Katrina Kaif was a favorite this time too as the sexy actress has managed to win the poll three years on the trot. There was a tough fight, no doubt about that. But the win looked comfortable at the end for Priyanka Chopra. The crown that came towards end of the year has made the year a special one for PC.

Apart from these sweet memories for Priyanka Chopra, there are two three of the other moments that can be mentioned. Priyanka features in two hit films this year – Agneepath and Barfi – the film that was officially nominated for the Oscars by India.

Katrina Kaif and Kareena Kapoor won’t perform on New Year eve

The New Year Eve is a great time for the Bollywood hotties to make some quick money. However, it is learnt that Katrina Kaif and Kareena Kapoor, two of the leading prominent actresses in Bollywood will not be performing on the New Year eve. It was expected that they would do it this year, but that’s not going to happen. 

Katrina Kaif generally spends the final days of the year with her family in her home in London. This year too she will be amongst her near and dear ones to usher in the New Year. Katrina has a history of spending these days with her mother and this year might be no exception either.

As far as Kareena Kapoor is concerned, there is no question of her performing as well. After all, she has become a member of a royal family now. Moreover, she will be spending her time with her husband Saif Ali Khan when both of them will be vacationing. However, both Katrina and Kareena will be doing stage shows in 2013.

The not so ‘popular’ stars in the category that charge lesser are Zarine Khan, Riya Sen as well as Yana Gupta who are said to be paid about Rs. 20 lakhs for such shows. And yes, do not forget adult star Sunny Leone who is said to have been offered Rs. 26 lakhs for performing on New Year eve.

Jab Tak Hai Jaan breaks into the Rs. 100cr. mark

After the successful run of Salman Khan’s films that went into the Rs. 100cr. mark, it was Jab Tak Hai Jaan that broke the same milestone. It took just 11 days for the domestic earnings to reach that mark. Jab Tak Hai Jaan features lead actors like Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif along with Anushka Sharma.

The film was produced at a budget of around Rs. 50 crores. And earning twice the amount only from India is indeed heartening. However, as far as the overall earnings are concerned, Rs. 100 crores were earned within six days only, which also included earnings from overseas as well. The film was released on the day of Diwali – the 13th of this month.

There were a couple of reasons, in fact more, why the film was such a popular production from the YRF house. Firstly, it was the last directorial venture of the late Yash Chopra; secondly, he had taken to direction after as many as eight years since he had made Veer-Zaara.

The final reason and probably the most important of them all, was that the director had roped in Shah Rukh Khan. And it was also the first ever film for SRK along with Katrina Kaif.

Katrina Kaif refuses award on Salman Khan’s behalf

It would not sound off if Katrina Kaif is asked to accept an award on behalf of Salman Khan. However, it certainly does not fit in the jigsaw when Katrina refuses to do so. This is a though. At an awards show, when Salman Khan was not present, the anchor of the show asked Katrina Kaif, who was present, to accept the award.

As the award was for a film in which both of them had worked in, it was very obvious that the anchor, Ayushmann Khurrana, requested the leading lady of the film to come up and accept the award. However, there was a huge shock in store for Ayushmann Khurrana as Katrina plainly refused to accept the award. It was certainly unbelievable for everyone present there.

Thinking on normal lines, everyone thought, Kat would come up and accept the award. However, the beautiful lady proved that she also has brains and some quick thinking by proving everyone wrong. What’s more, it is learnt that Katrina even asked for a certain amount of sum that Salman received for the film if she was to accept the award.

Well, it remains to be seen what has Salman bhai has to say about this.

In two months Katrina Kaif lost five kilo weight

Katrina Kaif offers her prayers at the Ajmer Dargah

When on one hand there was news about the banning of women in the Mumbai’s Haji Ali dargah, Katrina Kaif visited the Ajmer Dargah to seek blessings before the release of her film. Katrina Kaif and Shah Rukh Khan’s first movie together, Jab Tak Hai Jaan is scheduled for release on November 13.

Katrina Kaif has made a tradition of visiting the Ajmer Dargah before the release of her films. For the past some of her films Katrina has been regularly visiting the pious shrine without fail. There is hardly any doubt that the blessings won’t work for the actress.

However, it should be mentioned that Katrina Kaif had to accept some criticism when she had visited the same dargah, when she was shooting for her film Namaste London. She had visited the shrine in only a short skirt and was certainly not befitting a religious place like the Ajmer Dargah.

However, this time she took enough precaution and was entirely covered up when she showed up at the Ajmer Dargah.

A study shows that Sunny Leone is easily the most ‘dangerous’ celebrity around today. The definition of ‘dangerous’ has been said to make people click on malicious links. The rate is so high that around 9.95 people can easily be lured in clicking such links.

Sunny Leone simply topped the list where she went ahead of other celebrities like Kareena Kapoor and Katrina Kaif. The possibility of people clicking on malicious links was when they surfed the web after searching them and clicking on links that were displayed in search results.

The study was conducted by the anti-virus company McAfee. Katrina Kaif had topped the list last year is second with 8.25 points. Kareena came third with 6.67 percentile. Vidya Balan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Poonam Pandey and Deepika Padukone are the other celebrities in the top 10.

The solitary male star in this list is Salman Khan.

King of romance Yash Chopra passes away

The undisputed King of Romance Yash Chopra passed away in Mumbai this evening. He was 80. Yash Chopra was given the tag of King of Romance after he produced hit films like Deewar, Chandni, Silsila and Darr. Yash Chopra worked for many decades in Bollywood and was active as long as until the last month.

Last week he was admitted to the hospitalafter the dengue fever had gripped him. Jab Tak Hai Jaan was the last film he successfully produced. The film is slated to be released on November 13. It is an irony that the great producer is not alive to see the last film of his life and hear its success.

Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif are the leading superstars in the film. Katrina Kaif had said that she was happy to have got a chance to work with the legendary producer at least once in her life. But at the same time she expressed unhappiness about his retirement.

The statement of the death of the iconic figure was given out by the Yash Raj studio – his film production company.

Though it is said that the dengue fever had gripped him, some reports also carried the news that there were multiple organ failure that caused the death of Yash Chopra at about 5.30 pm at the Lilavati hospital in Mumbai.

Katrina said that Yashji had a unique passion for cinema and it obviously showed. She further said that she felt it was an honor working with the legendary film maker. Katrina recalled one of the incidents where she was not getting the right shot even after lots of takes and retakes. It was then that the fatherly figure came to help.

The Bollywood beauty said that she was willing to do a film under the YRF banner for a long time and that finally materialized with Shah Rukh Khan. She was happy, she said. Speaking about the film with SRK, she said that she felt a bit intimidated with the actor. However, once the ice was broken, everything was fine.

Katrina Kaif is a brand ambassador of many brands, including soaps. In one of the latest shoots for a new ad, the director wanted her to strike a sexy pose. This is when she showed her real character and flatly refused the director. It was a hush-hush on the sets and not to mention the early packing.

As long as the shoot was going on smoothly, everything was fine. As it was the shooting of a soap ad, Katrina had to pose in a bath tub full of bubbles. She had already given enough shots and poses. However, it looked as if the director was still not happy and wanted something more.

However, Katrina thought enough was enough. She was straightforward in issuing a stern warning to the director to remain within the limits.
