Katrina Kaif will begin 2013 on a bang while performing at award shows in January itself. It is learnt that Katrina will be performing at four such award shows. If the figures are to be believed, she will be getting paid almost Rs. 10 crores for all these four shows. As the year 2012 was, so it seems will be the case for her in the next year.

Katrina Kaif delivered two hits this year, one each with Salman Khan and the other with Shah Rukh Khan. With Salman Khan first it was Ek Tha Tiger and then with Shah Rukh Khan, the recently released Jab Tak Hai Jaan. Both the films broke into the Rs. 100 cr. club. That automatically increased the market value for Katrina Kaif.

The success for Katrina at the box office does not only mean that she has a high value for her presence at the shows and stage performances, but in fact, she will also have a greater range to choose the numbers to perform at the shows.

Ranbir Kapoor is too pricy to sign a chocolate brand

Post the success of Bodyguard and Ek Tha Tiger, Salman Khan got pricy. Ranbir Kapoor has followed suit after the success of Barfi. He was to be signed for a chocolate brand. However, he demanded a whopping sum of Rs. 20 crores for the same. It was a humongous sum that made the manufacturers think for the second time.

It was actually a sour experience for the firm who were looking to sign Ranbir Kapoor. They were hopeful that they would be able to sign the star. However, when they heard the price Ranbir was demanding, they were crestfallen. They hadn’t left with any choice at all. Almost reluctantly, they had to let go the Bollywood hero.

There is hardly any doubt that the popularity of Ranbir Kapoor is on the rise. After the success of Barfi, he scaled new heights. That is the reason the firm wanted to have him as the face of their products.

The story does not end here. According to Ranbir Kapoor, he had never been approached to have a deal. A source tells that there are many brand owners who want to sign Ranbir up. However, a deal never fail due to the monitory issues.

Salman Khan becomes the highest paid host on TV

With the next season of Bigg Boss just round the corner, Salman Khan can boast of being the highest paid actor on the small screen. It is estimated that Salman will be pocketing as much as Rs. 3.8 to Rs. 4 crores per episode for the show. Though he was sharing the space with Sanjay Dutt in the last season, still Salman was paid around Rs. 3 crores per episode.

However, after his success with Ek Tha Tiger and the immense popularity of his films, there is hardly any doubt that his value is on the rise. Salman Khan is the only actor from Bollywood who has delivered more than three hits at the box office garnering more than Rs. 100 crores in each film.

Hrithik Roshan, Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar are some of the other names in the Bollywood who are pocketing huge sums of money for hosting various shows for each episode. How can the list be complete without the mention of Amitabh Bachchan and Kaun Banega Crorepati?

As a matter of fact, the league of Amitabh Bachchan is a bit different as he has signed a contract for Rs. 100 crores for as many as three seasons.

Salman Khan helps his makeup man with a new job

Salman Khan is known to help his friends out. There was no exception with his makeup man as well. As a matter of fact, the YRF is ready to bend all the rules for the megastar. There is no doubt that will get an out of the world treatment. After all, Salman Khan has given the banner their biggest hit till date, in the form of Ek Tha Tiger.

As far as the new engagement of his makeup man Sudesh Naag is concerned, Salman has got his security agency to work for the YRF studio. The security agency provides protection to the stars, who are shooting on the sets. It is understood that it was Salman who advocated on behalf of Sudesh Naag.

It was the company of Ronit Roy that was providing the security for the stars on the sets while shooting. However, now that Salman spoken on behalf of his makeup man, there were hardly any chances of anyone refusing. But then what about the earlier contract with Ronit Roy?

The contract with Ronit Roy still continues and the entire work will now be divided between the two agencies.

Emraan Hashmi says he is luckier than Salman Khan

Salman Khan is the highest taxpayers in Bollywood

The lives of film stars have always been a matter of great interest to their fans, especially the private life. Salman Khan has been on a high since his films like Ready, Bodyguard, Dabangg and Ek Tha Tiger have all crossed the Rs. 100 crore-mark at the box office. No wonder, he is the highest taxpayer in Bollywood today.

Salman Khan is said to have paid advance tax of around Rs. 8 crores in July-September already. In the previous for the same duration, he had paid a tax of Rs. 5 crores. As explained the reason is that he has had four films that have crossed the Rs. 100 crore-mark.

Paying this amount has made Salman the highest taxpayer in Bollywood. The figures are said to have emerged right from the tax officials. So, they are worth believing. Salman Khan’s latest film Ek Tha Tiger had a huge collection of Rs. 198 crores.

The leading lady of Ek Tha Tiger – Katrina Kaif is known to have paid Rs. 2.70 as tax as against the Rs. 1.70 crores she paid in the previous year.

Katrina Kaif will be acro-dancing in Dhoom 3

Dhoom 3 will bring out another talent from the leading Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif. She will be for the first time experimenting with a dancing form that is called as acro-dancing. This form of dancing is indeed an exciting venture in itself. As this is a new dancing form to Katrina as well, she is training hard for it.

As a matter of fact, Aamir Khan will also be joining Katrina in the dance. However, they will be getting the training at two different parts of the world. When on one hand Katrina will get trained in Mumbai itself, Aamir will be taught the art in Chicago, in the US.

It is not the first time that Katrina is getting a specific training in a certain dance form. The best of her efforts were shown in the song Sheila Ki Jawani in the film Tees Maar Khan. For the popular number Mashallah from the film Ek Tha Tiger, Katrina had to take grueling lessons.

Both the dance numbers mentioned above are belly dancing numbers and Katrina had to train harder each time. The same seems true for now as well.

Katrina Kaif ready for action again – with Rs. 7 crores

After seeing Katrina Kaif doing the stunts in the film Ek Tha Tiger, advertisers are trying to cash in on the new-found talent of the leading lady of Bollywood. Katrina is likely to feature in an ad and it will also be full of action and stunts. But you will be surprised to know that it is just an ad of a paint company.

But then why does it need stunts and action, after all? Well, that is how Kat has been accepted by the people and there is nothing wrong if the paint company is trying to get more out of it. It is learnt that she has been paid the highest amount ever for a Bollywood actress.

If the reports are to be believed, Katrina will be paid a whopping sum of Rs. 7 crores for the same. The final draft of the ad is yet to be finalized, though. It was also being said that there would be Shah Rukh Khan in the ad along with Katrina as well.

However, the idea of having SRK might be dropped and Katrina will feature in the ad alone.

Ranveer Singh unimpressed by Ek Tha Tiger

When on one hand the entire world is enjoying the success of the Salman Khan starrar Ek Tha Tiger and Salman himself at the helm basking in the glory, there is. Ranveer Singh isn’t really impressed by the efforts. He has termed the film boring and has even said that those who saw the film need a balm.

Ranveer Singh, by the way, is just a couple of films old – much more junior to Salman Khan. However, he knows how to remain in the news. He expressed his views about the film through the micro-blogging site Twitter. Ranveer said that only the final 15 minutes of the film were really magical.

However, no one from the industry or the family of Salman Khan, or even he himself, has made any comments still. However, as if that was not enough, he tweeted that when he was passing by a multiplex, people who had just watched the movie were asking for the Tiger balm.

Ek Tha Tiger earns Rs. 210 crores in 11 days

Salman Khan starrer Ek Tha Tiger and the star himself are making records with each passing day. In just 11 days, since the release, the film has grossed a whopping amount of Rs. 11 crores. The good thing is that the film is still running to packed houses all over the world. No wonder, money will still keep pouring in.

It took only five days for the film to enter the Rs. 100 crore club. There is no doubt that the film is easily the all time blockbuster. The film has a total of more than Rs. 210 crores from India and abroad business. It is learnt that the bulk of the amount – Rs. 175 crores comes from India only.

The top three films in terms of Indian collection are –

3 Idiots – it grossed a nett amount of Rs. 202 crores

Ek Tha Tiger (still growing strong) – Rs. 175 crores nett

Bodyguard – Rs. 148 crores nett.

Ek Tha Tiger is quite close to breaking the record set by 3 Idiots. Let us see if Salman Khan can do the magic once again?

Ek Tha Tiger breaks the opening day box office records

There has been no looking back for Salman khan for some of his last films and Ek Tha Tiger is one of them. It is expected that the film will be the highest ever earner of all time. The film that released on the Independence Day grossed Rs. 32.92 on the first day itself.

The collection that almost touched Rs. 33 crores is the highest for any film in Bollywood to date. The collection done by Ek Tha Tiger was more than one third of the earnings grossed by the film Agneepath that released previously this year. Agneepath earned Rs. 24 crores while the second highest grosser before the release of Ek Tha Tiger was Ra. One by Shah Rukh Khan, which earned Rs. 23 crores.

The previous year, Salman Khan’s another film Bodyguard was released. That also broke records then. That film was also a Eid release and Ek Tha Tiger released only 4-5 days before Eid. As this is a long weekend end due to holidays coming on the trot, many film buffs are likely to queue up to the theaters.

That will give the film more profits in the days to come.

Salman Khan wants to play larger than life roles

Salman khan has been on a high for the last couple of years and now wants to play only larger than life roles for his next films. Ever since Dabangg was a super duper hit, there was no looking back for Salman bhai, as he is affectionately called. Bodyguard was also a hit and that broke records all over.

He said that he would not mind playing the characters for drama, romance or even action. He wants to depict heroism in his movies. For that reason he is targeting roles that are larger than life. He said that he would like to depict heroism in all the field in the life.

At the same time he kept his options open for doing comedy or romantic films, though he has been widely accepted as an action hero. Speaking about the audience he said that he was looking to work in films those could be watched by the entire families together.

His next film is Ek Tha Tiger, which is directed by Kabir Khan. Salman, who plays a RAW agent, stars opposite Katrina Kaif in the film. The film is scheduled for release on August 15 – India’s Independence Day.

Katrina Kaif feels awkward about marriage

Though Katrina Kaif has played the bride in many of her films, when it comes to real life marriage, she is certainly very uncomfortable. Even the talks of marriage make her feel very awkward. However, when it comes to her professional work regarding anything about marriage, Katrina is at her best.

Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif to star in Yash Raj film

Two of the Bollywood’s most favorite stars – Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif will be seen opposite each other in the next film by Yash Raj. The film has not yet been titled. However, it is understood that the shooting has already started in London. It remains to be seen how people accept the Shah Rukh Khan-Katrina Kaif pair.

Not many details are available about the film until now. However, it is understood that the film revolved around a romantic angle between the two most dazzling stars of the Hindi film industry. It will certainly be a treat for the fans of both Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif.

Katrina Kaif was shooting for the final stages of her film Ek Tha Tiger, which is on the brink of release. The shooting was underway in Cuba. Katrina flew to London straightaway. Another leading lady, Anushka Sharma is also a part of the film. She is yet to reach London for the shooting, though. The stars are expected to camp in the city for around 35 days.

Salman Khan is ready for to host Bigg Boss Season 6

The storm raised by the grand finale of the Bigg Boss season 5 has yet not settled down and there is news for the next season already. Salman Khan is in the news again. He has had a blast with hosting the fifth season of Bigg Boss. He along with Sanjay Dutt had a gala time working as the co-host of the show.

Salman Khan now has made a wish of hosting the next season of Bigg Boss as well. Though he could not make up to the show as he was also shooting for his forthcoming film Ek Tha Tiger, he was present with Sanjay Dutt whenever he was in Mumbai.

Salman Khan disproved rumors of him returning to the small screen along with his previous reality show Dus Ka Dum. However, it seems that the fever of Bigg Boss has overtaken his love for Dus Ka Dum. If Salman Khan is given the nod for the next season, then the makers of Dus Ka Dum will have to scour for a new host.

Despite his surgery, Salman Khan is flip-flopping with Ek Tha Tiger and Bigg Boss. He is shooting Ek Tha Tiger in the Irish capital. The new season of Bigg Boss kicks off from tomorrow – Sunday. So as promised, Salman Khan will be there to set the ball rolling for the reality show.

Salman Khan’s surgery has come at exactly the wrong time. The film, for which he is currently shooting for, Ek Tha Tiger, requires him to travel to different international locations at the same time. He has to take extra care of himself after the instructions of the doctors. Apart from the travelling, he has also to keep a watch on the schedule when he has to visit his doctor again.

Salman has gone down on his smoking volume. However, he has not yet quit smoking for good. We hope that day will certainly dawn in Salman’s life!

Salman Khan’s back in Mumbai after a month

Since Salman Khan became a superstar, it might be the first occasion that he was out of Mumbai at a stretch for so many days. Initially, he went to the United States for his treatment and then he was shooting for Ek Tha Tiger along with Katrina Kaif. The shooting was in Dublin.

He arrived at the Sahara airport in Mumbai in the early hours of Wednesday. He visibly looked a bit tired. That was quite understandable as the journey could have taken a toll on him.

He will now be seen on the small screen along with Sanjay Dutt. The two mega stars are scheduled to host the next season of the reality show Bigg Boss. The shooting for the show will get underway soon.

Salman Khan has proved to be a great success with his last three films being great hits. Dabangg, Ready and finally Bodyguard took Salman’s success graph soaring to great heights. Records were set and broken since the release of Dabangg last year.

Katrina Kaif’s fall during Ek Tha Tiger reveals a bit too much

Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan were shooting in Ireland for their forthcoming film Ek Tha Tiger. In one of the shots, both Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan were seen having a stroll in the campus of the Trinity College Dublin. Katrina is seen in a short white dress while Salman is in his formal dress.

The shot continues when Katrina attempts to get on the bicycle. However, somehow she manages to strip over and fall. The fall proved to be too costly for Katrina as it can potentially remind one of Yana Gupta (though there is a lot of difference between the two).

As Katrina slipped and fell off, it revealed her white underwear. Salman Khan was just along with her. So she had someone to be with, for moral support. Like a reel life Salman Khan tried to ‘protect’ her. But the white dress that Katrina was wearing proved to be too short. And, the damage was done until then.

There is no second opinion on the fact that, Salman was beside Katrina when the wardrobe malfunction happened. When Salman khan needed such moral support before leaving for the US for his operation, Katrina Kaif was by his side.

Salman Khan needs to continue medication after surgery

There is some bad news for Salman Khan himself and his fans as well. As we all know Salman Khan was in the United States for the all important surgery for a nerve disorder a few days back. Though the surgery has been successful, all is not yet well with the Bollywood hunk.

Apparently, Salman needs to fly to the States every two months to continue with the treatment. He will have to meet the doctors there and keep them informed about the progress he is making. This is to ensure that the pain does not reoccur anytime in the future.

This means he will have to keep aside some dates in his already packed diary for flying up and down the US. May be there will be a problem not only for himself, but also for his producers, directors and co-stars as all will have to adjust with the dates. The treatment is of utmost importance as the nerve problem has been his headache for many years now.

The first blood has been drawn. His upcoming film Ek Tha Tiger with Katrina Kaif has been postponed by a few weeks. Salman has yet not signed any new project. There is one film pending with him which is under the Yash Raj banner. It is predicted that Salman Khan may have to go through another surgery in January next year.

We wish Salman a speedy recovery and a permanent vacation from medication!

Katrina Kaif refuses Ayan Mukherjee film with Ranbir Kapoor

Katrina Kaif might as well have agreed to be professional and work with her former boyfriend Salman Khan. However, she has not given the green signal to work with Ranbir Kapoor – her former love. Ayan Mukherjee wanted Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor to work in their yet to be titled film.

However, the problem for Katrina was her packed diary dates. Currently she is busy with Salman Khan for the film Ek Tha Tiger. Her second film is with another Khan – Shah Rukh Khan. The film, which is a Yash Raj production, is to be titled yet.

Katrina was very much willing to do the Ayan Mukherjee film. The film is to be produced by Karan Johar, who happens to be a good old family friend of Shah Rukh Khan. Karan Johar had a talk with Aditya Chopra over the settlement and adjustment of dates. But it was virtually impossible for them to settle Kat’s dates for all the three films.

The beautiful damsel had no other option but to let go the film. Well, it happens in Bollywood. Sometimes you get good offers and the film is a hit and sometimes things just don’t work out for you.
