The clash of Raees and Sultan averted at box-office

The much talked about films – Raees and Sultan were set to release at the box office and a possible clash. But now, it looks like the clash of these two films would just have been averted.

There were talks about Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan would face off at the box office on Eid 2016. However, it is now understood that the most possible clash is now sorted out.

According to the reports, the Bajarangi Bhaijaan star had a talk with King Khan. And as we have always seen how Salman has always helped the Bollywood fraternity in various ways, he also has come forward to help his former foe and now friend Shah Rukh Khan.

According to a source, Salman thinks there’s no room for competition between the two of them. They have profound respect for one another and that’s the reason why a solution to the problem was possible.

This means now Raees will release on Eid 2016 for SRK, while Diwali will see the release of Sultan on Diwali next year.

Salman Khan says he and Shah Rukh Khan cannot be best of friends

Salman Khan has openly admitted that he and Shah Rukh Khan cannot be best of friends like they were before. He was talking about various things on the talk show Koffee With Karan. Salman talked about his relationships, the competition in the business, about his marriage and of course, his relationship with SRK.

The first episode of the show of a new season got underway yesterday – Monday of Star World. Elaborating about the relationship Salman said it was just a stroke of bad luck when one night things got worse and couldn’t be mended for years.

He said that he went across and said “salaam alaikum” to SRK during the party when the two hugged each other. Salman, on his part said that he could have gone on to solve the matter the same night and sorted things out. However, SRK didn’t reciprocate, Salman added.

It was around five years ago in 2008 that the two Khans were engaged in a heated argument at the birthday party of Salman’s then girlfriend Katrina Kaif. Things have been sour between them ever since.

Jab Tak Hai Jaan breaks into the Rs. 100cr. mark

After the successful run of Salman Khan’s films that went into the Rs. 100cr. mark, it was Jab Tak Hai Jaan that broke the same milestone. It took just 11 days for the domestic earnings to reach that mark. Jab Tak Hai Jaan features lead actors like Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif along with Anushka Sharma.

The film was produced at a budget of around Rs. 50 crores. And earning twice the amount only from India is indeed heartening. However, as far as the overall earnings are concerned, Rs. 100 crores were earned within six days only, which also included earnings from overseas as well. The film was released on the day of Diwali – the 13th of this month.

There were a couple of reasons, in fact more, why the film was such a popular production from the YRF house. Firstly, it was the last directorial venture of the late Yash Chopra; secondly, he had taken to direction after as many as eight years since he had made Veer-Zaara.

The final reason and probably the most important of them all, was that the director had roped in Shah Rukh Khan. And it was also the first ever film for SRK along with Katrina Kaif.

King of romance Yash Chopra passes away

The undisputed King of Romance Yash Chopra passed away in Mumbai this evening. He was 80. Yash Chopra was given the tag of King of Romance after he produced hit films like Deewar, Chandni, Silsila and Darr. Yash Chopra worked for many decades in Bollywood and was active as long as until the last month.

Last week he was admitted to the hospitalafter the dengue fever had gripped him. Jab Tak Hai Jaan was the last film he successfully produced. The film is slated to be released on November 13. It is an irony that the great producer is not alive to see the last film of his life and hear its success.

Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif are the leading superstars in the film. Katrina Kaif had said that she was happy to have got a chance to work with the legendary producer at least once in her life. But at the same time she expressed unhappiness about his retirement.

The statement of the death of the iconic figure was given out by the Yash Raj studio – his film production company.

Though it is said that the dengue fever had gripped him, some reports also carried the news that there were multiple organ failure that caused the death of Yash Chopra at about 5.30 pm at the Lilavati hospital in Mumbai.

Daniel Craig making Shah Rukh Khan wait for the Bond role

Currently, the British actor Daniel Craig is donning the James Bond avatar. However, he has competition from Indian actor Shah Rukh Khan. But Daniel Craig has already made it clear to Shah Rukh Khan that he will have to wait for the role if he is interested in portraying it. The reason? Well, Daniel still wants to hold on to the character.

When he was asked if was even aware of the Indian actor, Daniel Craig replied in the affirmative, but with a sense of nervousness. What was the reason of being nervous? Well, it is best known to him only. However, Daniel Craig did not forget to remind SRK that there was still some time for him to don the character.

It looks like Daniel Craig is going to make SRK wait for ages. He has no plans of moving out yet. Daniel has already appeared in three Bond films. On the contrary, he has signed a couple of more projects on James Bond as well.

Yash Chopra in hospital due to dengue

The legendary film maker Yash Chopra, who recently turned 80, has been admitted to the Lilavati hospital in Bandra. He was diagnosed with dengue. One of the sources close to him said that the film maker had an attack of dengue and so had to be admitted to the hospital immediately.

The film maker just had recently announced his retirement from the business of film making. Jab Tak Hai Jaan has been his last film with Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif. Anushka Sharma will also be seen in the lead role in the film. The film will hit the screens on November 13.

Yash Chopra has been a legendary film maker in India for decades now. Katrina Kaif had just recently expresses her unhappiness over the retirement of Yash Chopra. But she said that she was happy to get to work at least in his last movie.

Shah Rukh Khan to play Dhyan Chand

After the success of Chak De India, where Shah Rukh Khan played the coach of a hockey team, he might play the character of the legendary Dhyan Chand himself. The biopic on Dhyan Chand has been under consideration for a long time now. The producers of the film now have decided to approach Shah Rukh Khan to play the role.

The script is being currently written by Ila Bedi Dutta – the same writer who had recently written the remake of Agneepath made by Karen Johar. Plans are that the script might be completed before the turn of the year. According to Ila Bedi Dutta, SRK is the best choice for the character of Dhyan Chand.

Though there is no official response from the super star, Ila Bedi Dutta is hopeful that the actor will reply in the affirmative. She also met Shah Rukh a few days back to discuss the entire project with him.

Pooja Shetty is going to produce the film and rightly so, Ashok Chand, Dhyan Chand’s son has bought the rights of the film.

Alia Bhatt has a huge crush on Ranbir Kapoor

Alia Bhatt is a newcomer in the Bollywood industry as against Ranbir Kapoor. However, she is bold enough to confess that she has a huge crush on Ranbir Kapoor. She said that she has always adored the young star and after the success of Barfi, her love for Ranbir has grown even more.

Alia, who is just 19 years old, said that Ranbir has been her biggest crush and there is hardly any doubt that there will be anyone else. The crush will always remain, Alia said. She was speaking in an interview when she was promoting Student Of The Year.

She was also asked with Khan prominently she would like to work with between Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan and Salman Khan. To this she replied that all of them are huge stars and that it will be difficult for her to choose from any of them.

Student Of The Year will be the first film for Alia, who is the daughter of Mahesh Bhatt. There are two newcomers in the film as well – Varun Dhawan – David Dhawan’s son and model Siddharth Molhotra. The film is slated for October 19 release.

One of the best film makers in India – Yash Chopra has announced his retirement from cinema and it was Katrina Kaif who was the unhappy person about this. She feels that it will be impossible for anyone to match Yash Chopra. Katrina spoke her heart out from Chicago where she is currently shooting.

Katrina said that Yashji had a unique passion for cinema and it obviously showed. She further said that she felt it was an honor working with the legendary film maker. Katrina recalled one of the incidents where she was not getting the right shot even after lots of takes and retakes. It was then that the fatherly figure came to help.

The Bollywood beauty said that she was willing to do a film under the YRF banner for a long time and that finally materialized with Shah Rukh Khan. She was happy, she said. Speaking about the film with SRK, she said that she felt a bit intimidated with the actor. However, once the ice was broken, everything was fine.

Anushka Sharma to don white ganji in Jab Tak Hai Jaan

The white chiffon saree happens to be the signature of the YRF studio. However, in Jab Tak Hai Jaan, Anushka Sharma will mostly be seen in a white ganji. Anushka had the guts to make comments openly about the character she is playing and that too when doing a film for a banner like Yash Raj Films.

Anushka Sharma has said that the character she plays is that of a very hardworking and ambitious girl. Katrina Kaif ready for action again – with Rs. 7 crores

After seeing Katrina Kaif doing the stunts in the film Ek Tha Tiger, advertisers are trying to cash in on the new-found talent of the leading lady of Bollywood. Katrina is likely to feature in an ad and it will also be full of action and stunts. But you will be surprised to know that it is just an ad of a paint company.

But then why does it need stunts and action, after all? Well, that is how Kat has been accepted by the people and there is nothing wrong if the paint company is trying to get more out of it. It is learnt that she has been paid the highest amount ever for a Bollywood actress.

If the reports are to be believed, Katrina will be paid a whopping sum of Rs. 7 crores for the same. The final draft of the ad is yet to be finalized, though. It was also being said that there would be Shah Rukh Khan in the ad along with Katrina as well.

However, the idea of having SRK might be dropped and Katrina will feature in the ad alone.

Ek Tha Tiger breaks the opening day box office records

There has been no looking back for Salman khan for some of his last films and Ek Tha Tiger is one of them. It is expected that the film will be the highest ever earner of all time. The film that released on the Independence Day grossed Rs. 32.92 on the first day itself.

The collection that almost touched Rs. 33 crores is the highest for any film in Bollywood to date. The collection done by Ek Tha Tiger was more than one third of the earnings grossed by the film Agneepath that released previously this year. Agneepath earned Rs. 24 crores while the second highest grosser before the release of Ek Tha Tiger was Ra. One by Shah Rukh Khan, which earned Rs. 23 crores.

The previous year, Salman Khan’s another film Bodyguard was released. That also broke records then. That film was also a Eid release and Ek Tha Tiger released only 4-5 days before Eid. As this is a long weekend end due to holidays coming on the trot, many film buffs are likely to queue up to the theaters.

That will give the film more profits in the days to come.

What makes Katrina Kaif restless

All rest and no work makes Katrina Kaif a restless actress. As a matter of fact, she is working all the waking hours as well. The busy actress understandably feels uneasy and a feeling of restlessness creeps if she has nothing to do. It will not be exaggeration to say that Shah Rukh Khan has been a lucky mascot for Anushka Sharma. Ever since Anushka Sharma made her debut in Bollywood with Rab Ne Bana di Jodi opposite Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka has been making almost every of her films to be a talk of the town.

No wonder, she feels that SRK is lucky for her. And we think she is lucky as she has got the chance to work with SRK again. She will be seen with SRK in a Yash Raj project. The film has not yet been titled. The shooting for the film has not yet started.

Vidya Balan can do without Khans too

Vidya Balan is no doubt the current top actress of Bollywood and so are the three Khans. It is very natural for someone to act alongside the actor or actress who is having a dream run. No doubt, people want to see any of the three Khans – Aamir, Salman or Shah Rukh to work opposite Vidya – just the way Amitabh Bachchan and Govinda did in Chote Miyan Bade Miyan.

Katrina Kaif offered Rs. 1 crores

Offering hefty sums to Bollywood superstars is nothing to be surprised about. Katrina Kaif could be one of the latest beneficiaries of such an offer. The lovely lady has been offered this huge sum to appear only for 10 minutes. She has been asked to make this small time appearance in the Southern Indian city of Kochi.

Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif to star in Yash Raj film

Two of the Bollywood’s most favorite stars – Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif will be seen opposite each other in the next film by Yash Raj. The film has not yet been titled. However, it is understood that the shooting has already started in London. It remains to be seen how people accept the Shah Rukh Khan-Katrina Kaif pair.

Not many details are available about the film until now. However, it is understood that the film revolved around a romantic angle between the two most dazzling stars of the Hindi film industry. It will certainly be a treat for the fans of both Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif.

Katrina Kaif was shooting for the final stages of her film Ek Tha Tiger, which is on the brink of release. The shooting was underway in Cuba. Katrina flew to London straightaway. Another leading lady, Anushka Sharma is also a part of the film. She is yet to reach London for the shooting, though. The stars are expected to camp in the city for around 35 days.

Madhuri Dixit, the yesteryear diva of Bollywood has launched her own official web site. It would not be wrong to say that it is a process to connect to millions of her fans worldwide. Shah Rukh Khan and Shirish Kunder patch up

After two days of uneasiness Shah Rukh Khan and Shirish Kunder finally patched up at Mannat, the residence of Shah Rukh Khan. Gauri Khan, wife of Shah Rukh and Sajid Khan, Farah Khan's brother played a major role in the reconciliation. If the entire ‘drama’ is to be summed up in a few words, then we can say all is well that ends well.

It was Gauri and Sajid who took the initiative to calm the heating atmosphere down. A meeting was arranged at Mannat by the two over a meal. Sajid Khan said that all the events were really ugly and he was not feeling good about it. However, he blamed the media for giving it a lot of publicity.

According to Sajid, the news did not need front page coverage in the newspapers. Sajid Khan went down the memory lane when he said that it was Shah Rukh who was one of the only three witnesses when Farah got married to Shirish. So that is a special thing for him and the Sajid-Farah Khan family.
