What makes Katrina Kaif restless

All rest and no work makes Katrina Kaif a restless actress. As a matter of fact, she is working all the waking hours as well. The busy actress understandably feels uneasy and a feeling of restlessness creeps if she has nothing to do. There is no doubt that she has been working all the hard way and the hard work is showing off.

As a matter of fact, she has not taken a break since the busy shooting schedule of Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara in Spain. Actually that free time there during the shooting was the only respite Katrina got from work. Otherwise, she has been constantly working without any proper vacation.

The recent shooting schedule in London along with Shah Rukh Khan was something of a pleasant surprise for Katrina for two reasons. First, it was her first time working with King Khan. But more importantly, she could stay in London itself – her home city and meet her family as well.

Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara wins at the 57th Idea Filmfare Awards

It was Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and Zoya Akhtar all the way at the 57th Idea Filmfare Awards winning in as many as seven different categories. The film won the Best Film (Popular and Critics’ Award), Best Director, Best Dialogue. The other awards were the Best Supporting Actor, Best Choreography and Best Cinematography.

Ranbir Kapoor won in two different categories for his performance in Rockstar. He won the Popular and the Critics’ Choice Awards. No marks for guessing this one. The voluptuous Vidya Balan got the Best Actress Award for portraying Silk Smitha in The Dirty Pictures.

Coming back to Rockstar, A R Rehman got the award for his ear-pleasing musical score. It was the 20th trophy for the Mozart of Madras. It was the 2500th statuette with a diamond to boast of. The host, King Khan did not rule this time with his acting. However, Ra. One won the Best SFX trophy.

Shooting is yet in the pipeline; Krissh 3 sold out for Rs. 125 cr.

The shooting for the much talked of Krissh 3 is yet to begin. However, the financial profits for the film have begun already. The franchisee for the Rakesh Roshan film has already pocketed huge amounts. The rights have been sold for a whopping amount of Rs. 125 crores. With Hrithik Roshan in the lead, there is no wonder, that the film has got such rates.

Hrithik Roshan had a good hit in the form of Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. The success of the film had a lot to do with the huge amount pocketed as the rights of the film. There is another film that has got a good amount for the rights. We are talking about Ajay Devgan this time around.

His upcoming film Son of Sardar has got Rs. 80 crores. The Singham star is already a favorite amongst the distributors and that is the reason why the film got such a handsome amount. According to trade analysts both the actors are coming into the films with good hits to boast of. For that reason, these upcoming films should do well too.

Anurag Kashyap and Kalki Koechlin go on a honeymoon

Finally Anurag Kashyap and Kalki Koechlin have got time off for their personal lives. The pair who got married recently was too busy to go on a honeymoon trip. Let alone the honeymoon trip, they were so busy that they did not literally have the time to talk to each other.

However finally they have some free time on their hands. The couple will use this to go for their first ever outing since their marriage. They will be heading off to Turkey. Well, this may sound as an unusual honeymoon destination. But that is what their plan is. Mr. Kashyap said that it was Kalki’s choice to spend their time in Turkey and that is why they will be going there.

After the success of Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Kalki will be seen in her next film That Girl in Yellow Boots. There are some intimate scenes of Kalki in That Girl in Yellow Boots. As luck would have it, the film is directed by her husband Anurag Kashyap. He admitted that, as a husband, it was very tough directing his own wife in intimate scenes with some other man.

Will Farhan Akhtar play the character of Milkha Singh?

If all the things fall in place, Farhan Akhtar might play the character of the Indian runner – The Flying Sikh. Farhan Akhtar has hardly ever thought of acting in films outside his own banner, Excel Entertainment. However, he is now also considering films with good scripts. The upcoming film on Milkha Singh could be one of those to start off.

It was first thought that the protagonist in the film could be Akshay Kumar. Milkha Singh himself felt that Akshay Kumar is the best bet for playing his character. He is a Punjabi and has the right physique for such a role. Milkha also said that Akshay acts well.

However, apart from Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan was also being considered seriously for the role. There were reports about the same in various channels of the media. But it seems that the Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara star has come first in the race by defeating both Akshay Kumar and Abhishek Bachchan.

The film is to be directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and is titled Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. It is expected that the shooting of the film will start only in the next year.

Kalki Koechlin denies reports of being pregnant

In one of the latest pregnancy reports, we have on the list Kalki Koechlin. However, Kalki Koechlin says that the reports are negative. Well, do not take it in the literal meaning – in a doctor’s language. In ‘reports’ we mean the news reports (and not a gynecologist’s reports; please don’t read between the lines).

The Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara star has not been keeping good health of late. Due to that, she could not even be a part of the party whenever one was arranged. However, unlike Aishwarya Rai and Lara Dutta, who are already on their family way, there are no signs for Kalki yet.

But when will there be good news from her side? Well, the answer is straight from the head (we doubt if it has really come from the heart). Kalki does not want to become a mother for another ten years now. Now, isn’t that a long period? But that is what Kalki has told about her family planning.

Kalki is just recovering from malaria and she has already become rather thin. Weakness has gripped her. That is why she finds it even difficult to think of a family at this moment. But then does it take 10 years to recover?

Whatever, the news of Kalki not getting pregnant for another decade should come as a great relief to directors and producers in the film industry.

Kalki Koechlin denies differences with Katrina Kaif

Kalki Koechlin has come forward to make a statement saying there are no differences between her and her co-star Katrina Kaif. There were some reports some days back saying the two beauties do not bond well between them and that there are some differences. Kalki made this statement on Sunday in Gurgaon.

Kalki Koechlin, who recently got married, was let down by the fact that no one approached her for what she thought about Katrina Kaif. Her reason for sadness was that, everyone had taken it for granted that there is a rift between the two actresses.
Kalki was speaking about this issue when she was at the PVR Cinemas in Ambience mall, Gurgaon. She was there with the other male stars of the film with whom Katrina was also present. There were however, no reports of Katrina coming forward and speaking the issue.
The director of the film Zoya Akhtar and co-producer Ritesh Sidhwani were also present on the occasion.
Kalki Koechlin has another film lined up with her Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara co-star Abhay Deol. This will be their second film together after Dev D.

Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif will kiss on screen

Some days ago we had reported to you about the extra long kiss between Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif in the film Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. There were reports emanating that the kissing scene was to be cut down and so also the chemistry between the two would be toned down.

Hrithik said that the kissing scene has been done with quite a lot of conviction and that is why it is going to appeal to the people. It looks realistically convincing. However, when Hrithik came back from the shooting of his earlier film Agneepath, he was shocked to hear that he was trying to bring pressure on the director of Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara to bring down the level of intimacy.

There were also reports that Hrithik is not doing too well with Zoya Akhtar – the director of Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. The macho star was fast enough to rubbish off the news as rumors. He said that Zoya Akhtar happens to be the only director with whom he has done with films. The other director is, of course, his father.

There was a time when the kiss between Aamir Khan and Karishma Kapoor was the talk of the town. Now, it is Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif in their upcoming film Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. Director of the film, Zoya Akhtar did a great job with the kiss between these two stars.

In the film, Hrithik and Katrina have a heated exchange of words. After this, Hrithik leaves the place in a rage. Laila, the character played by Katrina, then chases him on her bike. She is successful in stopping Arjun’s car; the character played by Hrithik, pins him down on to the bonnet, and plants a three-minute long kiss.

Now, the director feels that she should bring down the excitement of the kissing scene. This could potentially be too long to show – a time of three minutes – 180 seconds is a tad too much on the big screen. However, on the other hand, the scene holds a lot of importance as well.

The reason is that the two are kissing each other after a severe argument. That is why to show the love in between the two, it is important that they kiss each other passionately and for long.

Well, both the arguments are true in their own sense. Now, let’s see what mean the director finds.

Katrina Kaif rejects ad offer from a ketchup company

Katrina Kaif had to a fat offer to endorse a ketchup brand from a leading company. However, much to the surprise of the company, Katrina Kaif turned down the offer in the best polite way possible. But what was the reason for Kat to turn down such a hefty offer? She could have easily got some fast and easy money.
The company wanted Katrina to endorse their brand as they think she is the one who can connect with the small kids faster than anyone else. Kids and small children are the main target of the company. That is the reason why they wanted to rope in Katrina Kaif at a huge price.
But little did they know that she would say no to the offer. But what made Kat say no after? Well, she can hardly bear tomatoes. It is not clear if it would mean to say that she is allergic to the fruit. But whatever she had done for the shooting of Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara was more than enough for Katrina.
The company was to sign a three-year contract with Katrina. But now they will have to scour for another brand ambassador.

YRF postpones the release of Mere Brother Ki Dulhan

The release of the film Mere Brother Ki Dulhan had to be postponed. The reason is that there is a bunch of films being released during that period which has forced the big banner to re-schedule the release of their film which would have otherwise released in the month of July.

Imran Khan, Katrina Kaif and Ali Zafar play the lead roles in the film Mere Brother Ki Dulhan. Imran Khan and Katrina Kaif are the two big stars associated with two different films. Imran Khan will be seen in the film Delhi Belly while Katrina Kaif plays the protagonist in the film Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.

These two films are scheduled to be released around the same time as Mere Brother Ki Dulhan was scheduled for release. It would have been a real nonsense to release Mere Brother Ki Dulhan in the same time zone. For the stars, it would have meant competing with themselves.

Another reason why Yash Raj backed off to release the film was the promotion issue. It would have got very difficult for both Imran Khan and Katrina Kaif to promote their film along with Delhi Belly and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.

Common sense prevailed and the YRF banner will now release Mere Brother Ki Dulhan sometime in the month of September.
