Katrina Kaif will star in Dhoom 3 with Aamir Khan

The search for the leading lady for Dhoom 3 is finally over. Katrina Kaif will star opposite Aamir Khan. There were many names considered for the thrilling role that involves both action as well as adventure. However, today’s unofficially top ranked heroine, Katrina Kaif, won the race. Aamir Khan will be seen in an anti-hero avatar.

Dhoom 3 will complete the trilogy of the Dhoom series. Esha Deol was seen dancing to the title song in the Dhoom while Aishwarya Rai, in was in Dhoom 2. Yash Raj Films (YRF) wanted a fresh face for Dhoom 3. However, a search of about a year was literally a waste as they could not find the one that could do justice to the role.

A fresh means, the Yash Raj Films wanted a debutant for the lead role. There was a great difficulty in getting a fresh face with such a great responsibility. The hunt had to be finally settled with Katrina Kaif. It seems that she will certainly turn to be a trouble shooter for YRF.

Katrina is coming in the film with a great success in films like Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and Mere Brother Ki Dulhan. Mere Brother Ki Dulhan incidentally was also an YRF production.

Katrina Kaif has a vexing time from London to Mumbai

Common man may think that traveling from one country to the other is difficult job. However, stars like Katrina Kaif are no excuse to the rule. Travelling from places to places can give even celebrities a harrowing time. Katrina Kaif is the latest example of how things can go wrong at times.

The actress was in London for the premier of her latest film Mere Brother Ki Dulhan. She was with Ali Abbas Zafar – the director of the film. However, both Katrina and Ali Abbas Zafar got stuck in London itself as they missed their flight back to Mumbai. It was a horrid 24 hour period when Katrina Kaif felt lowest even when she is such a big celebrity.

Both Katrina and Ali Abbas Zafar were desperately looking for a flight out of Heathrow when they happened to get one on an Oman Air. However, that flight was to arrive in Mumbai via Oman. That pushed Katrina’s schedule behind by around 20 hours.

When Katrina spoke about the incident, she was understandably not too happy to talk about it anymore. What she only said that she was happy to be back in Mumbai anyhow.

Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma lock horns over makeup man

 Bollywood has had examples of leading ladies fighting it out over their numero uno position or the roles they were offered. However, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma proved to b the pioneers of a new tussle. Believe it or not, the two ladies were fighting over a makeup man.

Well, there is no fault of the poor makeup man. Actually, Katrina learnt that her makeup artist was ready to go to London with Anushka Sharma for a couple of days. Then there was no stopping the gori. She created a ruckus and wanted the makeup man to be with her as she is still to shoot some portions of the film Mere Brother Ki Dulhan.

Let us take you to the flashback story. The makeup artist – Subhash has been working with Katrina for a good period of time. But as a matter of fact, Katrina had not hired him as a fulltime makeup man. That is why he was free to work with other actresses as well.

It was learnt that he had informed Katrina that he would be going out of India with Anushka Sharma for a two-day event. However, Katrina, being the senior of the two actresses, dictated her terms. She did not want Subhash to go out of India for any reason what so ever. But Subhash had got the tickets and visa in place and it was difficult to cancel the trip.

However, Katrina Kaif got in touch with the honcho of the YRF camp and proved that she has attitude by not allowing Anushka to let her take the makeup man with her.

This is certainly not happening with Katrina Kaif. Check your attitude, Kat!

Imran Khan is confident of Katrina Kaif’s good showing

Imran was referring to the fact that Katrina is sometimes touted as having a good-looking face and the one who cannot act.

YRF postpones the release of Mere Brother Ki Dulhan

The release of the film Mere Brother Ki Dulhan had to be postponed. The reason is that there is a bunch of films being released during that period which has forced the big banner to re-schedule the release of their film which would have otherwise released in the month of July.

Imran Khan, Katrina Kaif and Ali Zafar play the lead roles in the film Mere Brother Ki Dulhan. Imran Khan and Katrina Kaif are the two big stars associated with two different films. Imran Khan will be seen in the film Delhi Belly while Katrina Kaif plays the protagonist in the film Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.

These two films are scheduled to be released around the same time as Mere Brother Ki Dulhan was scheduled for release. It would have been a real nonsense to release Mere Brother Ki Dulhan in the same time zone. For the stars, it would have meant competing with themselves.

Another reason why Yash Raj backed off to release the film was the promotion issue. It would have got very difficult for both Imran Khan and Katrina Kaif to promote their film along with Delhi Belly and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.

Common sense prevailed and the YRF banner will now release Mere Brother Ki Dulhan sometime in the month of September.

Katrina Kaif’s latest item number a copy of Chor Bazari?

Do you remember the Chor Bazari item song from the film Love Aaj Kal? Well, Katrina Kaif might have her next item number based on this song. The film Love Aaj Kal was released in 2009 and it is being rumored that, Katrina Kaif’s next item number is loosely based on this song.

The song is from the film Mere Brother Ki Dulhan. It so happens that, Katrina drinks a lot of bhaang at a roadside dhaba and loses control over her own self. She then starts to dance and sing there itself. She is in total madness and completely unaware of her surroundings.

Now, if you compare this song with that of Deepika Padukone’s song from Love Aaj Kal, you will strike the similarities. In this song too, Deepika is seen on the road dancing without caring for the world outside.

Meanwhile, Katrina has remarked, probably setting on fire the cold war, she has not seen the item number by Deepika Padukone in Dum Maaro Dum. In fact, she is not at all interested to see it, said Kat.

Coming back to Katrina’s item number, the background to the song is this that, Katrina, along with Ali Zafar and Imran Khan is travelling on a highway in Uttar Pradesh. They stop at a roadside dhaba to have their dinner. This is where all three of them have bhaang and the item song takes birth.
