Karan Johar’s next film with Ranbir Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

The upcoming film by film maker Karan Johar will have three superstars in it – Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Anushka Sharma. It is understood that the title of the film is Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.

The announcement has been made official by none other than Karan Johar himself. And that’s why there is nothing to speculate about. It will be the first time that the film maker will be working with the Bachchan bahu and that will be a good sign for her fans.

As far as Ranbir and Anushka are concerned, Karan worked with them earlier in the film titled Bombay Velvet. He is of the opinion that the chemistry of the two actors has been exceptional. And that is the reason why he has once again decided to cast them.

When you say Karan Johar, you invariably think of love flicks. And this will be something similar in nature. There will be love, break-ups and of course, how love is at the centerstage of a relationship.

The promotion of the film Student of the Year is truly on the high scale as producer and director Karan Johar along with Alia Bhatt were the guests on the reality show Kaun Benega Crorepati. The other two prominent faces in the film Siddharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan were also present on the show hosted by Amitabh Bachchan.

Alia Bhatt is the daughter of Mahesh Bhatt. Siddharth Malhotra is a successful model and Varun Dhawan is the son of the famous director David Dhawan. It is the first film for all the three youngsters.

Rishi Kapoor, Kayoze Irani and Sanjay Dutt are the other prominent actors in the film. The foursome played for a charity during the show. The moments got nostalgic as Big B narrated some funny incidents during his school days. Jokes were cracked and around 40 to 45 minutes of lighthearted presentation passed off in a jiffy.

Karan Johar and Alia Bhatt played the first part as the guest contestants and Siddharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan played till the end of the programme for the day.

Sequels have become the order of the day. If Rohit Shetty agrees, we might expect the sequel of Bol Bachchan very soon. The talented director has already given the hit Golmaal series. His latest release, Bol Bachchan has also been received very warmly by the audience. The director has not ruled out the possibility of a sequel to the film.

The director is already being termed as the Rs. 100 cr. man by someone like Karan Johar. Karan Johar got to see the talents of Kareena Kapoor during her film Agent Vinod. Until she got involved with another of her films Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu, she was more than curious to know what all it takes to make a film.

Kareena was willing to learn mixing, scripting, music and such other things associated with film making. Karan Johar was very much impressed with the things that were shaping up with Bebo. That is why he did not feel it odd to offer Kareena to direct his next film.

Kareena Kapoor feels secure with Saif Ali Khan

Kareena Kapoor is one lady who is completely smitten by Saif Ali Khan. That is why she is not at all worried about her beau working with other beautiful women in the film industry. She is also a person who says that she is completely happy and satisfied with her relation with Saif Ali Khan.

Agneepath earns more than Bodyguard on opening day

There is Agneepath, Agneepath and Agneepath all the way. When we heard that Bodyguard had been the highest grosser on the opening day in the history of the Hindi cinema, we thought that was it. It would take ages before the record is broken. However, it was just a matter of a few months to materialize.

Agneepath has earned more than what Bodyguard had earned on the opening day – an earning of Rs. 23 cr. Salman Khan starrer Bodyguard had earned Rs. 21.6 cr. It was a record in its own way. But Agneepath came strongly to earn slightly more than Rs. 1.6 cr. on the first day.

The film was released on the occasion of India’s Republic Day – Thursday, January 26. That was a good occasion for the people to take a break from the work and redeem themselves with a movie from the stable of Karan Johar.

Juhi Parmar has been crowed the winner of Bigg Boss season 5. The other participants – there were four of them, who were there as the last finalists were item girl Mahek Chahal and VJ Siddharth. TV actors Akashdeep Saigal aka Sky and Amar Upadhyay were the other two contestants till the end.

Katrina Kaif will be Chikni Chameli in the film Agneepath

It seems that Katrina Kaif has decided to do only item numbers. Her next is chikni chameli in Agneepath. This is the remake of the famous bygone film in which the superstar of the millennium Amitabh Bachchan starred. The film will be remade by Karan Johar. The original one was made by his father in the year 1990.

Karan Johar posted a twitter message about the remake and this is how the world came to know about these developments. He wrote that Katrina will be doing an item song in the film Agneepath. The shooting of this particular song will be done in a week’s time. In the original film Archna Puran Singh had danced to the tunes of Alibaba, which was also item number.

The remake of Agneepath will be directed by the new director Karan Malhotra. It is his debut film. Sanjay Dutt is playing role of villain in this film. If all things go well it will be released on 26 January 2012.

Is Deepika Padukone in or out of Race2?

It is a question till date if Deepika Padukone will be part of Race 2. It is inside news that Deepika’s first choice Ayan Mukerji’s film Jawanni Hai Deewani. In this film her co-star is Ranbir Kapoor. Everyone knows that Ranbir Kapoor was and is still the ‘special’ friend of Dippy. But it seems Deepika Padukone still has some spark of love for Ranbir Kapoor left in her.

May be this reason is not true. But she does not like to lose chance to remain in the vicinity of her special friend. It may be possible but who knows it for sure?

But Deepika as the same time does not want to miss Karan Johar’s film Race 2. The director of the film is Abbas Mastan. If she has to remain in both the films, then she will have to adjust her dates like anything.

It seems if Ms Padukone is able to adjust the dates for both these films, then she can shoot for the films. Shooting of Jawanni hai Dewani may be completed until the April 2012. Then Deepika Padukone will shoot Race 2 in May 2012. Correct? Let us keep our fingers crossed.

Paris Hilton may not be interviewed in India

The well-known socialite Paris Hilton may not find any takers to interview her. The leading chat show hosts in India Simi Garewal and Karan Johar have both refused to interview her for an Indian television show. As a matter of fact, we had reported some days ago that Karan Johar was in fact approached to interview Paris on his show.

He was ready to go with the same. However, the Paris Hilton team put conditions after conditions in front of KJo. There were strict conditions put before Karan Johar that he could not ask questions that were related to the socialite. He was almost dictated with lots of terms and conditions. Finally, he had little option but to refuse.

Then Simi Garewal was the obvious choice and she is quite popular and has loads of experience in the field. However, it was a sort of a prestige point that Simi Garewal did not want to be a last minute choice and that too as a second option. Karan Johar will not interview Paris Hilton

In a big setback and disappointment to Paris Hilton fans in India, the international celebrity will not be interviews by the popular talk show host Karan Johar when the beautiful lady visits India by the end of the next week. The fashion icon was to be interviewed in the Koffee With Karan format.

However, the interview that could have garnered a lot of interest is no more a reality now. The reason is the tough terms and conditions led down by the Paris Hilton media team. The team stated in their terms and conditions, that she would not be asked about the drug use, the jail term or the sex tape.

Karan Johar was also told that there would be no personal questions put forth to the renowned heiress. In the initial stages of the preparation towards the interview, Karan Johar accepted some of the conditions put to him. However, the flow of the ifs and buts just did not reduce.

If there are so many terms and conditions then what will remain is just a casual chat between Karan and Paris. Why does it need to be an interview and be telecast of TV? It will be like exchanging pleasantries. Either way, well-known people from the field do exchange pleasantries whenever they meet.

That was too much for the filmmaker who thought enough was enough. After he is not a person, who is advised about what questions to ask and what not. He decided to chop off the idea of the interview altogether.

Katrina Kaif refuses Ayan Mukherjee film with Ranbir Kapoor

Katrina Kaif might as well have agreed to be professional and work with her former boyfriend Salman Khan. However, she has not given the green signal to work with Ranbir Kapoor – her former love. Ayan Mukherjee wanted Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor to work in their yet to be titled film.

However, the problem for Katrina was her packed diary dates. Currently she is busy with Salman Khan for the film Ek Tha Tiger. Her second film is with another Khan – Shah Rukh Khan. The film, which is a Yash Raj production, is to be titled yet.

Katrina was very much willing to do the Ayan Mukherjee film. The film is to be produced by Karan Johar, who happens to be a good old family friend of Shah Rukh Khan. Karan Johar had a talk with Aditya Chopra over the settlement and adjustment of dates. But it was virtually impossible for them to settle Kat’s dates for all the three films.

The beautiful damsel had no other option but to let go the film. Well, it happens in Bollywood. Sometimes you get good offers and the film is a hit and sometimes things just don’t work out for you.

Hrithik Roshan starrer Agneepath to be released in January 2012

Karan Johar has announced on his Twitter page that the Hrithik Roshan starrer Agneepath will be released in January 2012. Karan posted, “Agneepath releases on January 13th, 2012”, this is what he said on Twitter. Agneepath is the remake of the 1980 classic with the same name.

Hrithik Roshan will play the role of the iconic Amitabh Bachchan, the famous character of Vijay Deenanath Chauhan. In the female lead, there will be Priyanka Chopra. However, Karan Johar has decided to shelve off the entire character of Mithun Chakraborty.

Sanjay Dutt will be seen in the role of a villain. To prepare himself for the role, he has gone completely bald. Apart from that, he has even gained weight and some muscles. In addition to this, he will be seen with loads of tattoos on his arms. The veteran Rishi Kapoor will also be seen in the negative role.

If you remember a little history of the original Agneepath, it was not a successful film. However, the characterization of Vijay Deenanath Chauhan by Amitabh Bachchan was extremely appreciated. The Big B had even won the Best Actor award for this film.

The original Agneepath of the 1980s was produced by Yash Johar, Karan Johar’s father.

Karan Johar’s chat show Koffee With Karan ends third season

The popular chat show hosted by Karan Johar, Koffee With Karan has ended its third season this year. The final episode of the show was telecast. Understandably, Karan Johar was pretty emotional at the last moment. He said that he would always remember the kaffeine kick that he got during the programme.

On the night of Sunday, this is what Karan Johar had to say about his programme, which he tweeted on his Twitter page, “KWK3 bids farewell tonight... thank you for all the love people... it has been a steaming ride!! Will miss this kaffeine kick tremendously!!!”

Why this chat show garnered tremendously popularity was because of the fact that, many actors and actresses chose the couch of Koffee With Karan to fire at their opponents. There were cold wars as well as open taunts fired at the other party.

Priyanka Chopra and Kareena Kapoor had one such famous brawl when they were the guests on the show. Their ‘fighting’ continued even many days later too.
