The Dirty Picture bags awards at the 18th Screen Awards

The Dirty Picture ruled at the Screen Awards, 2012. The film won the awards for various categories. The Best Film award was anyone's guess. Milan Luthria won The Best Director award. But no marks for guessing - Vidya Balan won The Best Actress award hands down. The bold and voluptuous performance by the smoking hot Vidya looked to be the only choice before the jury.

The Best Actor award went to Ranbir Kapoor for his character in Rockstar. Saif Ali Khan got the Best Supporting Actor award as a role he played in Aarakshan. Adity Rao Hydari was awarded with the Best Supporting Actress award for her depiction in the film Ye Saali Zindagi.

The Best Actor award for a negative role was given to Prashant Narayan for his role in Murder 2. Priyanka Chopra was the obvious choice for Best Actress award in the negative role in 7 Khoon Maaf.

A R Rehman got the award for the Best Music Director for Rockstar. Mohit Chauhan and Shreya Ghoshal won the Best Male Singer and Best Female Singer awards for the song Phir se ud chala and Ooh la la respectively.

Singer legend Asha Bhosale was honored with the lifetime achievement award on the occasion.

Priyanka Chopra wants her character real in Barfee

Priyanka Chopra is busy shooting for her film Barfee. But whenever it comes to films, she wants to get it as realistic as possible. For her two earlier films Ashutosh Gowariker’s What’s Your Raashee and Vishal Bhardwaj’s Saat Khoon Maaf, Priyanka had gained and lost weight significantly. Of course, that proved a bit detrimental to her.

Anurag Basu had written that particular character for Priyanka Chopra in the film. The character needs to be without food or water and without even public contact for three days on the trot. Priyanka Chopra wanted this part to be realistic and so wanted to undergo the entire scene realistically. This meant that she would lock herself up in a room, be away from the world and would also have to go without food and water.

Initially, Ranbir Kapoor thought that PC was playing a joke on everyone there. However, as things got serious, no one could dissuade Priyanka from not doing the three day ‘scene’. But when Priyanka did not seem to give up, the director Anurag Basu put a condition to Priyanka.

He wanted to go without food and water and be with Priyanka as well. Incidentally, both Anurag Basu and Priyanka Chopra have health problems and cannot afford to go through any such thing. It is learnt that Priyanka remained unavailable for the comments after the shoot.

Ileana will play an old woman in film Barfee

The talented south actress Ileana will be seen in her forthcoming film Barfee. The exciting thing for Ileana in the film is her characterization. The leading lady of the film will be seen doing a Priyanka Chopra. As Priyanka played the roles of women from all age groups in her film Saat Khoon Maaf, so will Ileana be doing.

In this Anurag Basu film, Ileana will don the character of a teen age nineteen year old girl and will travel all the way to being 65 years old. For this role, Ileana had to make some special preparations as did Priyanka Chopra for her role as Sussane.

Ileana D'Cruz will play roles below and above her age. She is taking the role very seriously as there are chances that she will most certainly be compared with Priyanka Chopra. Ileana is currently in her early 20s and she is doing such a role for the first time.

We hope, we get the best of Ileana to see in Bollywood as she has been impressive down south.

Priyanka Chopra is against nudity in films

The beautiful Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra might be a smoldering one herself. She knows how to expose, up to what limit to expose and how to set the screens on fire. However, Piggy Chops says, she was and is never comfortable with being nude on screen. She is personally against nudity on screen.

It might sound baffling for some of you to read it as to how Priyanka is not comfortable being nude on screen. If you remember, she has had many bold scenes in movies like Fashion, Andaaz and Aitraaz. Those who have seen those movies might vividly remember the steamy scenes that Priyanka Chopra went through.

She feels that she can do characters which are raunchy only up to a certain limit. She also feels that every character has a limit to expose them which cannot be said to be nude. She also pointed out that she will do roles where she can sit with her parents and watch the movie.

Priyanka believes in aesthetically done roles. She even cited the example of her recent film Saat Khoon Maaf which supports her statements. With men kissing men and men loving men becoming more and more common on the silver screen, she said that she would not mind kissing a girl on screen.
