Salman Khan wants to play larger than life roles

Salman khan has been on a high for the last couple of years and now wants to play only larger than life roles for his next films. Ever since Dabangg was a super duper hit, there was no looking back for Salman bhai, as he is affectionately called. Bodyguard was also a hit and that broke records all over.

He said that he would not mind playing the characters for drama, romance or even action. He wants to depict heroism in his movies. For that reason he is targeting roles that are larger than life. He said that he would like to depict heroism in all the field in the life.

At the same time he kept his options open for doing comedy or romantic films, though he has been widely accepted as an action hero. Speaking about the audience he said that he was looking to work in films those could be watched by the entire families together.

His next film is Ek Tha Tiger, which is directed by Kabir Khan. Salman, who plays a RAW agent, stars opposite Katrina Kaif in the film. The film is scheduled for release on August 15 – India’s Independence Day.

Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif won’t kiss on screen

Like Neil Nitin Mukesh, Katrina Kaif also has a no-kiss clause on her list of conditions. Keeping with the tradition, she will not kiss her ‘good friend’ Salman Khan in their upcoming movie Ek Tha Tiger. However, Katrina did make an exception of kissing on-screen when she had a terrible 3 minute smooch with Hrithik Roshan in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.

But coming back to Kabir Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger, both Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif are serious enough to keep the no-kiss clause going. During the shooting, there was one scene that required both Salman and Katrina to kiss each other. However, there was a plain no from both of them.

According to one of the sources from the film, Kabir Khan was insisting both Salman and Katrina to give one shot. He thought both the pros would understand the need and the importance to kiss. However, neither Salman nor Katrina gave up. So, Kabir had no choice but to make some necessary changes.

Salman Khan to play a RAW agent in Ek Tha Tiger

In his forthcoming film Ek Tha Tiger, Salman Khan will be seen as a RAW agent. This will be the first time that Salman Khan will be playing such an important role in life. Salman has hardly ever played such a role before in his life. Ek Tha Tiger is a Yash Raj film to be directed by Kabir Khan.

Salman Khan may yet be reeling under the influence of the Chulbul Pandy fame in Dabangg. However, playing the role of a RAW agent will not be that easy for Salman. The reason is that it is a realistic role and far too different from that of the character of Chulbul Pandey.

After Salman was approached for the role by Aditya Chopra and as soon as he heard the script, he decided to go for the role. This was also going to be the test of his character as an actor. One important thing though, Salman will have to get into the RAW agent’s mindset by studying them. Only then can he bring out a performance worth appreciating.

The shooting of the film is likely to get underway towards the end of this year.
