Asha Bhosle,
the daughter of Dina Nath Mangeshkar and younger sister of India’s great singer
Lata Mangeshkar made her way in the Gunnies book of world record for most
single studio recording. Asha recorded 11000 thousand songs is her singer career.
The songs she sang are solo, duets and chores. She sang in more than in 20
languages.
Asha sang
her first film song Chala Chala Nav Bala for the Marathi movie Majha Bal
(1943). The music for the film was composed by Datta Dawjekar. She made her
Hindi film debut when she sang the song Saawan Aaya for Hansraj Behl’s
Chunariya (1948).
Her evergreen
and unforgettable songs are, “Piya to ab to Aaja” of Carvan, “Rat akali hai
bujh gaye diye” Jewel Thief, and “Dum maro Dum” Hare Rama Hare Krishna.
