The Prakash Jha directed Satyagraha has managed to collected
Rs. 11.21 crores on the opening day. This has made the film the biggest opener
for the director till date. The film features stars like Kareena Kapoor and
Ajay Devgn in the lead apart from megastar Amitabh Bachchan.
There was reasonable response for the film in the morning as
about 70% to 80% of the seats were occupied. There was lukewarm response for the
film even later in the day.
Taran Adarsh, who is a film critic, revealed the figures
related to the flick. He made the thing public figures and the fact that it was
the biggest opener for the director.
The film targets the young India. It is an effort to channelize
the energy of the youth in the right direction. There is entertainment in the film
as well as a message that leaves a certain impact on the mind of the viewer. This
