From shorts to a saree – this is how Poonam Pandey travelled.
She showed up at the Andhericha Raja, in a blue transparent saree. The
Ganesh mandals had made it strict not to come to take the blessings of
the god of wisdom in clothes that are short. They had even made arrangements to
see to it that the visitors are dressed cordially.
Some days ago we had reported to you how Poonam Pandey hadvisited the mandals in only shorts. That had triggered a decision to not
allow anyone to come dressed above the knees. However, there was no stopping
for Poonam Pandey. She showed up this year again, but only by abiding by the
rules.
As a matter of fact, the Andhericha Raja – the Azad
Nagar Ganeshotsav mandal located in Andheri had said that the decision to make
this strict rule was due to the model Poonam Pandey coming in shorts to take
blessings of the Lord Ganesha. However, it was the same mandal that
invited the model to attend the aarti in the evening.
On a lighter note, Poonam admitted that it was only the
second time when she had worn a saree as she feels very uncomfortable in it. Though
the saree was a bit revealing, it was satisfactory that she was not revealing
her legs.
