Drashti Dhami is the winner of Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 6

Drashti Dhami has won the sixth season of Jhalak Dikhla Jaa. Jhalak Dikhla Jaa is a celebrity dance reality show and the TV actress feels proud of winning the coveted show. She won the show after beating the dancing pair of Shonali and Sumanth and Lauren Gottlieb.

The 28-year old TV actress, who is known for her role in Madhubala, impressed the judges as well as the audience with her graceful and beautiful dancing. Choreographer Salman helped her all through the journey for the Mumbai-born actress.

Impressing the judges like Madhuri Dixi and Remo D'Souza apart from Karan Johar wasn’t easy. Madhuri and Remo are well-known dancers themselves and are well aware of the nuances of dancing. Karan Johar, who is a Bollywood producer is also a dance enthusiast and knows the ins and outs of the same.

Drashti won the winner’s trophy apart from pocketing Rs. 50 lakhs. The finale was marked by the presence of Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka Chopra who were on the sets for promoting their upcoming film Krrish 3.

Barfi gets seven nominations for Global Indian Music Academy awards

Barfi has been nominated in as many as seven categories Global Indian Music Academy awards. With this Barfi is leading the race of the nominations. The awards have been seen as an effort on the part of Wizcraft International Entertainment for recognizing Indian music.

The other films nominated in the sequence are Talaash, Cocktail, Student of the Year, Ishaqzaade and Jab Tak Hai Jaan. The music director Pritam alone has six nominations. This includes best music arranger and programmer part from best background score.

The composer team of Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravjiani, who were the judges in the recently concluded Indian Idol Junior reality singing competiton has found four nominations. Another judge on the show Shreya Ghoshal has also four nominations – three for duets and one as a playback singer.

Is Salman Khan charging Rs. 5 crore per Bigg Boss episode?

Bigg Boss season 7 will shortly get underway and there are news and rumors that Salman Khan is charging Rs. 5 crore per Bigg Boss episode that makes it Rs. 130 crores for 26 episodes. However, when Salman himself was asked this question, he asked to play guessing games by saying that the cheques he receives are actually fatter.

As a matter of fact, Salman Khan will be seen in a double role in this reality show and that could be the reason why he has doubled his fees from the previous season. Actually, the media reported his answer as ‘Salman joked ….’ This again shows that no one knows the exact sum.

Salman has been associated with the show for a long time now and this will be the fourth season that he will be hosting. This time, the theme for the show is hell and heaven and that’s why Salman will also be seen in these two roles.

Speaking about his role, Salman Khan said that all of us have these two sides – the devilish and the angelic. We can bring out the values by repressing the negative sides.

Gauhar Khan will participate in Bigg Boss 7

One of the participants of the next season of Bigg Boss – Bigg Boss 7 will be Gauhar Khan. She has been seen on the silver screen in films like Ishaqzaade in which Arjun Kapoor made his debut and another film Rocket Singh in which Ranbir was seen in the lead.

The two sisters Gauhar Khan and Nigaar Khan are pretty famous in the world of entertainment and Bollywood. Nigaar Khan is primarily into TV serials rather than the big screen.

As far as Gauhar Khan is concerned, it has been confirmed that she will be indeed participating in the reality show. Participating in a reality show isn’t new to Gauhar as she was previously seen in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, the dance reality show.

Pratyusha Banerjee, Kushal Tandon and Hazel Keech are some of the celebrities who are keeping their cards close to their chest and haven’t confirmed anything about their participation. Nasha star Poonam Pandey and Hansika Motwani apart from a few others have confirmed that they won’t be participating in the show.

Things still not good for Malaika Arora Khan and Katrina Kaif

Things weren’t pretty good between Malaika Arora Khan and Katrina Kaif. The two ladies have always shared cold vibes. Katrina has never been an appreciated guest at the Khan-daan. And as a matter of fact, such cat fights aren’t a new affair in Bollywood.

But ever since the pictures of Katrina Kaif with Ranbir Kapoor have gone public, there has been no reason for Malaika to put up a false smile on her face. Malaika, who never acknowledged the relationship between her brother-in-law and Katrina Kaif looks relaxed now.

However, Katrina still does not mind visiting the Khans whenever the opportunity is there. Actually she did drop by Alvira’s place on the occasion of the Ganesh Chaturthi. Malaika too was present there. However, Katrina Kaif preferred to be with Salman’s mother Salma, while the daughter-in-law was with Sohail.

One of the sources added that the occasion was a blissful and auspicious one. Yet, the two of them did not mind at least acknowledging each other even when the entire family was present there.

Evelyn Sharma hasn’t gone under the knife and that she loves her natural figure to the fullest. The star of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani was taken aback on reading reports about herself online.

There were reports that Evelyn had gone under the knife to get her figure look sexy. The surgeries gave her the lovely shape that can be seen. One article had claimed that the actress had gone under the knife and got the looks that she now has.

The article further said that her act of being topless for the cover of the Krunch Today magazine was perfectly timed. To go with that, Joker is also going to release this Friday.

Dale Bhagwagar, who is the publicist for Evelyn Sharma said that Joker had released last year and that the actress wasn’t ever a part of the project. Moreover, Evelyn is totally against something like plastic surgery, Bhagwagar added.

The publicist finally added that the writer of the article should either know his facts or look somewhere for creative inspiration.

Shah Rukh Khan says no to Marathi

Shah Rukh Khan somehow managed to avoid speaking in the Marathi language during the dahi handi celebrations in Mumbai recently. He was invited as a special celebrity to be present on the occasion. He did attend the show and played an active part in it as well. However, that was on his terms.

He danced to the tunes of some of his own songs as people also rejoiced. The songs of the films include Devdas, Jab Tak Hain Jaan and Don. It was an awesome moment as SRK was totally drenched in the common man around him.

The celebrations, which were organized by the MNS, could have gone wrong when the crowd asked Shah Rukh Khan to speak in Marathi. The request to speak in Marathi came after his speech of around 15 minutes. What Shah Rukh did was instead of speaking in Marathi, he handed over the mike to the MNS leader, Ram Kadam.

However, Ram Kadam came to the rescue in the situation and as per SRK’s request he translated the speech in Marathi. It was a saving grace on the part of the MNS leader.

Anjana Padmanabhan wins the first Indian Idol Junior

Anjana Padmanabhan has won the first Indian Idol Junior competition. She had to compete against Debanjana Khamkar, Nirvesh Dave and Anmol Jaswal. Amitabh Bachchan announced the winner at the end of the grand finale of the show.

The music composer duo of Vishal and Shekhar along with the beautiful Shreya Ghoshal were the judges of the show.

It was a pretty tough to select the winner as all of them equally impressive. Only could play its part in such a case. Though Anjana does not understand Hindi, she certainly understands the music as she enthralled the audience on innumerable occasions. No doubt, she was the right choice.

As the winner of the first Indian Idol Junior, Anjana won Rs. 25 lakhs from Sony, Rs. 2 lakhs from Horlicks, a car from Nissan and Rs. 5 lakhs from Kotak.

Anjana hails from Bengaluru and is just a 10 year old singing wonder.
