Some parts of Not A Love Story shot with a mobile phone

Ram Gopal Varma has always got something new to experiment with in his films. In his latest film, Not A Love Story, he has shot some parts of the movie literally with a mobile phone. The reason was that a gadget like cameras was not allowed to be taken inside a shopping mall where some parts of the movie were shot.
The shots were shot with an iPhone4. As a matter of fact, no digital camera was allowed in the shopping mall, where the shooting actually took place. But it was an important part of the story. In fact, the entire movie has been shot on a digital camera.
The scenes involved Mahi Gill buying a big kitchen knife and some polythene bags. These scenes were shot in the Malad supermarket. When there seemed no alternative, the cameraman Zaryan Patel, came to the rescue of Ram Gopal Varma. He suggested a trick that made the shooting possible.
Zaryan Patel suggested shooting the scenes with an iPhone4. Ram Gopal Varma could not be anywhere near there as he was a popular figure. So Zaryan Patel went inside the mall with Mahi Gill. The entire shooting was of around 15 minutes. However, in the film, it has been cut down to around only 10 seconds.
