Madhuri Dixit is said to have been quoting a huge price for
doing films. The quotes are said to be as high as Rs. 5 crores. It is an amount
which today’s top heroines like Kareena Kapoor, Vidya Balan and Katrina Kaif
are quoting. Then how much would it make sense for a yesteryear actress to
follow suit?
It is really a question to answer which producers or
directors would be able to complete Madhuri’s requirements. But more
importantly, who would go watch an aged Madhuri compared to the hot Vidya Balan
or Kareena Kapoor? It is agreed that Madhuri is no less than a legend in the
field of dancing, but to quote that big a price might look too difficult for
the producers to digest.
Her comeback reality show Jhalak Dikhlaja was a huge
success. She proved that even at the age of 44, she can be no less hot diva as
compared to actresses 12-15 years than her. But what could have sparked the
thought of quoting Rs. 5 crores as her price could be the fact that she charges
around Rs. 1 crore to Rs. 3 crores for a 60-second ad.
It now remains to be seen who approaches Madhuri with such a
huge offer.
