The Vidya Balan and Dirty Picture wave has swept the country
like anything. After ruling the Filmfare Awards sometime back, the sexy
33-year-old actress got the Best Actress National Award. Needless to say she got
the award for her portrayal of the late sex bomb Silk Smitha.
However, Vidya is yet to come out of the ‘shock’ she got when
she was selected for the best actresses award at the national level at the 59th edition. She said
that she wanted to believe in the fact that she has indeed won that prestigious
award. The film was directed by Milan Luthria and produced by Ekta Kapoor.
The film was appreciated a lot by one and all. That is the
reason why Vidya Balan deservingly won the country’s most special title in the
film world. The Dirty Picture not only earned a good amount of money, but also brought
back the memories of Silk Smitha.
Dirty Pictures also did a lot good to Vidya Balan as well as brought
out her strength of character in playing the southern sex icon.
