Doing away with the ‘F’ word for Vidya Balan

Vidya Balan of late has done such films with steamy scenes that she has become a bit casual towards it all. It has become a habit and there does not seem to be anything odd or awkward about it for the Silk Smitha of this era. It looks like Vidya is still in the characters she has played in the films.

Vidya was reading a passage from the book by author Munmun Ghosh in front of a large number of audiences. She was reading the passage aloud. And every now and then instead of reading a word she herself made the ‘beep’ sound. It was certainly confusing for the audience.

She knew that the audience was puzzled due to her style of reading. It is then that she explained that there was no way she could ever say those words – ‘F’ words. The author also explained that it was the way Vidya read.

We had yesterday reported that Vidya Balan wants to do a film based on the writer Munmun Ghosh’s novel Unhooked.

Reema Sen shows gratitude to Vidya Balan

Ever since Vidya Balan has done a Silk Smitha, there is no looking back. Many actresses have taken a leaf out of her book and gone the same way, one of them being Kavita Radheshyam. The latest in the bandwagon is the south actress Reema Sen. Reema Sen was recently seen in the film Gangs of Wasseypur.

The reason for Reema Sen to speak about Vidya was the response she got after the people saw her in the film. Reema played the second wife of Manoj Bajpayee, Durga, in the film. Reema Sen feels that the ‘curvaceous’ trend that Vidya has set through the film The Dirty Picture has been accepted warmly.

The film has been directed by Anurag Kashyap, which shows women characters to their strength. They have been portrayed by Huma Qureshi and Richa Chaddha apart from Reema Sen.

According to Reema Sen, the director told her that there would be a warm welcome to such a portrayal of a character. It was hard for the south actress to believe that. But it was only when the audience went ga ga over the character that Reema now believes it.

But she does not forget to attribute the success to Vidya Balan.

Kavita Radheshyam brings back Silk Smitha

It looks as if there is no stopping the actresses who are looking to bring Silk Smitha back to life. After the successful effort by Vidya Balan, it is now the lesser known Kavita Radheshyam who has done a Silk Smith. And when we speak of Silk Smitha, there has certainly to be something spicy about it.

Kavita Radheshyam had done a sensational photoshoot when she had shed her clothes, when she had raised her voice against the cruelty towards animals. This time around, she is back with another shocking of a photoshoot that will not give you troubles of imagining anything.

Kavita Radheshyam is the new face of the Smriti India (Save The Girl Child). The images you see here is her latest photoshoot. She has dedicated the photoshoot to the south Indian bombshell Silk Smith. Kavita thinks that Silk had the guts to dare in the industry that has been known to be dominated by men only.

Vidya Balan doesn’t inspire Veena Malik

Veena Malik will play the lead role of Silk Smitha, which was essayed by Vidya Balan in The Dirty Picture, in the Kannada version of the film. And before long the diplomacy and the question of originality has started to surface. Veena Malik feels that her character in the Kannada version has nothing to do with that of Vidya Balan.

In short, Veena has to say that her character is not inspired by the original act by Vidya. Veena was speaking during a photo shoot where she claimed that she has not seen Vidyaji’s film (which is rather hard to believe), The Dirty Picture. That is the reason Veena is putting forth for her originality in the Kannada film.

But at the same time, Veena did seem a bit diplomatic when she said that she was planning to see the film. But because she got the offer of the Canada version she decided not to watch the film as it would cast a foreign influence on her.

Veena Malik is all set to make her Bollywood debut with the film Daal Mein Kuch Kaala Hai, while the shooting for Zindagi 50-50 and Mumbai 125 km is currently underway.

Vidya Balan is a plain housewife

After Vidya Balan has donned the daring role of the south sex siren Silk Smitha in The Dirty Picture and a hit in Kahaani, it is time for to turn a simple housewife. The 34-year old actress will have a totally new and different in Rajkumar Gupta’s next film Ghanchakkar. Rajkumar Gupta was the director of No One Killed Jessica.

Contrary to her roles in The Dirty Picture and Kahaani, the sexy lady will be seen only as a simple housewife. It is one such character than Vidya has hardly been seen so far. A look at Vidya’s career shows that she has played roles that have been in unusual circumstances.

Vidya Balan admits dating Siddharth Roy Kapoor

The Dirty Picture actress Vidya Balan has finally admitted it publicly, that she is dating Siddharth Roy Kapoor. Siddharth Roy Kapoor is the honcho of UTV movies. There was earlier news about the two seeing each other. However neither of the two had admitted it openly.

Things have changed now and there is nothing to hide about it now. Vidya however made it clear that there is no hurry for her to enter into the marital life phase. She also said that the engagement ring has also not been exchanged. She further said that the marriage is a while away, though it might not happen anytime soon.

She was also asked about what she thought about Rakhi Sawant donning the role of Silk Smitha in the Bengali version of The Dirty Picture. She said that she did her role to the best of her ability and if Rakhi was able to bring any creativity to the role, she would welcome it.

Vidya Balan gets the Best Actress National Award

The Vidya Balan and Dirty Picture wave has swept the country like anything. After ruling the Filmfare Awards sometime back, the sexy 33-year-old actress got the Best Actress National Award. Needless to say she got the award for her portrayal of the late sex bomb Silk Smitha.

However, Vidya is yet to come out of the ‘shock’ she got when she was selected for the best actresses award at the national level at the 59th edition. She said that she wanted to believe in the fact that she has indeed won that prestigious award. The film was directed by Milan Luthria and produced by Ekta Kapoor.

The film was appreciated a lot by one and all. That is the reason why Vidya Balan deservingly won the country’s most special title in the film world. The Dirty Picture not only earned a good amount of money, but also brought back the memories of Silk Smitha.

Kangana Ranaut replaces Vidya Balan in Shootout At Wadala

Dirty Picture to be released on Silk Smitha’s birthday

The date for the release of Ekta Kapoor’s ambitious film Dirty Picture, which is based on Silk Smitha’s life, has been finalized. The date has been fixed as December 2. This day is special not only for the film’s release, but also for the actress on whose life the film is made.

December 2 happens to be the birthday of the sex bomb. Therefore, the film will be released on that day, keeping the coincidence in mind. The initial date for the film’s release was being contemplated sometime in November. However, as Silk Smitha’s birthday was just round the corner, waiting for some more days was the best option.

The lead actress Vidya Balan is also excited at the thought of the release of the date. This is Vidya’s most challenging role so far. She has really pushed herself to the point of making her fit for the role. The success of the film will be a big plus in for her career and will add a new feather in her coveted cap of hits.

Emraan Hashmi spurs up Vidya Balan’s Dirty Picture shooting

Currently, Emraan Hashmi and Vidya Balan are shooting for Milan Luthria’s Dirty Picture. For one particular shot Vidya Balan needed to shoot alone. It was actually a photo shoot. As Vidya was alone in the shots, Emraan Hashmi was killing time on the sets. As his head was empty, the devil struck him.

He thought of playing a prank on Vidya Balan. He got himself a glass of soft drink and started drinking it on the sets while strolling around. He threw an occasional glare at Vidya. She initially ignored him. However, the shoot was going to be a sensuous affair – it has to be when it is Silk Smitha.

Emraan kept gazing at Vidya until she got distracted. She asked the production guys to get him away as it was disturbing her. However, there was nothing that could distract Emraan. On the contrary, he started winking at her making some gestures which were enough to make Vidya fume with anger and lose her focus.

Vidya needed to concentrate as the photo shoot was a sensuous one. When she thought it was too much, he got up in rage and threatened to leave the shooting midway if Emraan was not whisked away. However, there was laughter on the sets and everyone joined in and so did Emraan.

It was then that Vidya Balan came to know that a prank was being played on her and she felt like a fool of herself out of embarrassment.

No cell phones on sets of Dirty Pictures: Ekta Kapoor

Directors and producers are now-a-days careful of not revealing the new looks of their protagonist. Ekta Kapoor is taking care of her forthcoming film Dirty Pictures in the same way. She has totally banned the presence of cell phones on the sets of the film. She wants to keep it a secret and the curiosity of the fans alive by not disclosing the looks of Vidya Balan.

Vidya Balan is playing the role of the sex bomb Silk Smitha. Ekta wants Vidya’s looks to be a mystery till the very end. She does not want to become a Karan Johar. Karan Johar had tried to keep the character of Hrithik Roshan under the wraps. However, the looks finally got leaked.

Keeping this example before her, Ekta is all but strict about Vidya Balan’s character of Silk Smitha being a mystery until the very end. She is so particular about it that, even the visitors are asked to leave their cell phones behind and only then enter.

It would be surprising to know that even the actors and the crew and the staff members have also been ‘warned’ to do away with their cell phones before coming on the sets.

Vidya Balan not to add weight for Silk Smitha’s role in Dirty Picture

It has been quite a few days that Vidya Balan is in the news for her characterization of Silk Smitha in Dirty Picture. For the role, the actress was asked to put on some extra weight – as Silk Smitha was a tad fleshier than what Vidya Balan today is.

To suit the role of Silk Smith and to get into the character a bit more, it would be excellent if Vidya puts on some more kilos. However, taking into account her other engagements and the dates that she has already allocated, it would be highly impossible for Vidya to put on the weight and again get in shape for her next project in time.

But what is the way out of all this? So, the solution was to use the skills of the makeup men and cosmeticians and make Vidya look “voluptuous” – exactly how Smitha looked. One source close to the film producer Ekta Kapoor has said that, it is high time Vidya gained some weight for those scenes for which she should have been ready until now.

Prosthetics will now come in handy for the celebrated producer. Is it too late for Ekta Kapoor to inform Vidya about the increase in weight? Had it been so, would she have managed to gain weight? Then would she have lost it again for her next film?

Well, the questions are innumerable. But the production team seems to have found the answer. (Would Vidya had increased the weight had she done what she is doing in the picture earlier?)
