Kareena Kapoor to pay tributes to Raj Kapoor

It was scheduled that Kareena Kapoor would pay her tribute to Shammi Kapoor. But new plans say Raj Kapoor will be the man who would be remembered by Bebo. As a matter of fact, Kareena was to pay her tributes to Mr. Shammi Kapoor. However, as Ranbir Kapoor, Kareena’s cousin who already did it, she had to change her plans.

Kareena Kapoor will now dance to the hit chartbusters by Raj Kapoor. It was not long ago that Ranbir remembered the Sr. Kapoor. It was on November 1 that Ranbir paid tributes at the A R Rehman concert. As that programme had already taken place very recently, Kareena had no choice but to do something different.

However, reports claim that it was a typo error and Kareena was actually supposed to show her respects towards Shammi Kapoor only. However, things turned on their heads and Ranbir ended up with the Shammi Kapoor show.

Shammi Kapoor passes away at the age of 79

One of the legends from the Kapoor family – Shammi Kapoor passed away this morning (Sunday morning) at the Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. He was 79. He is survived by his wife, Neeladevi, son Aditya Raj. He also has a daughter Kachan Desai. His last riots will be performed on Monday morning.

Shammi Kapoor, who was born as Shamsher Raj Kapoor was the second son of Prithviraj Kapoor. Big wigs like Raj Kapoor, Dilip Kumar and Dev Anand were the other leading male stars of his time. Shammi Kapoor was also known as the Elvis Presley of India, due to his looks.

His career in Bollywood was a disastrous one as he had flops after flops. He had flop films in spite of working with heroines like Madhubala, Suraiya and Nalini Jaywant. He needed some success quickly that would also last long. However, his next film Tumsa Nahi Dekha turned his career on its head with stupendous success. In this film, Shammi Kapoor had a duck-tail style haircut.

We would no longer be able to hear the signature tune ‘Yahoooooooo’ ever again for which Shammi Kapoor was a rage.

Kareena Kapoor refuses to play the character of Mandakini

Just as we reported to you about Kareena Kapoor ready to play the character of former Bollywood actress Mandakini, we are again here to report about Bebo. Kareena did a swift U-turn and has refused to play the role in the sequel of Once Upon A Time In Mumbai. The film was to be directed by the director of Dirty Picture, Milan Luthria.
But what has put of Kareena Kapoor? Well, for those who don’t know this, here is a little background. The former Bollywood actress, Mandakini is specially remembered even today for the film Ram Teri Ganga Maili, which was a super hit film.
This meant that Kareena would have to do this popular scene, which is the heart of Ram Teri Ganga Maili. And indeed Kareena was required to do it. However, the director Milan Luthria had allowed Kareena to have her own take on the shot. He was okay even if Kareena did not go to that extent as what Mandakini did.
But the thought of wearing a see-through white saree and that too while getting wet in water, is what could have put Kareena off. Actually, Bebo was not comfortable doing these scenes. Maybe that’s why Kareena Kapoor withdrew from the film.
Incidentally, the film Ram Teri Ganga Maili was produced as well as directed by Kareena’s grandfather – the legendary Raj Kapoor.
