The name Rashmi Nigam might not ring bells in your head. But the
character in Madhur Bhandarkar’s film Heroine is said to be inspired by Gauri
Khan and Sussanne Roshan. Rashmi Nigam plays the character of a star wife and
that of actor Sanjay Suri in the film.
Rashmi Nigam says that the character she plays shows what a
star wife has to go through. She further
says that the time is tough when there are all kinds of rumors going on around
about the relationship the spouse goes through. All that is extremely difficult
to bear.
It is but natural for the wife to become a bit jealous. That is
what the character of Rashmi Nigam has to portray in the film. However, in
spite of all that, she always wishes her husband to achieve huge success no
matter what.
Rashmi Nigam got the role by virtue of the auditions
conducted. However, she is not bothered about the fact that she is playing a
second fiddle to Kareena Kapoor in the film.
