Sisters Sushama Reddy and Sameera Reddy at loggerheads

The two well-known sisters in the entertainment industry – Sushama Reddy and Sameera Reddy have found themselves to be busy by arguing with each other. The reason was Sameera Reddy’s item number Kunda khol in the film Chakravyuh. It was the fact that Sushama did not like the lyrics in the Prakash Jha film.

There was an argument between the two sisters where Sameera was trying to make Sushma accept that there was nothing wrong with the lyrics. The elder sister – Sushma was however not ready to accept it and was certainly looking unhappy. There was no way a solution could be found.

There was an uneasy silence of a couple of days between the two sisters. However, it was the elder sibling who took a U-turn and came out defending her sister. She said that it was after all a song – an item number. What can one expect of an item song, she questioned?

However, Sushma admitted that Sameera had good looks and her dance was excellent.

Katrina Kaif is excited to work in the sequel of Rajneeti

The political movie Rajneeti in 2010, gave Katrina Kaif loads of accolades for her role in the film. She was critically acclaimed for the character she played. No doubt, she is looking forward to the sequel of the film now. Katrina is ready to work with director Prakash Jha once again.

Katrina says that she had a look at the script of the sequel and feels it is an outstanding work of creativity. The script is what it is after years of hard work. The thing that Katrina points out is that the characters getting omitted in the first part.

Though Prakash Jha is engaged with another film with Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina is in talks with the director at the same time. Both have had some discussions and looks like things are going to fall in place soon. The actress however says that he has told her the story of the film but not the complete script yet.

Kareena Kapoor to play Prime Minister of India

After watching Katrina Kaif in Rajneeti as a woman politician, we may see Kareena Kapoor as the Prime Minister of India. Bebo will play the role in the next film by Prakash Jha, which is going to be a political sequel. By the way, this will be the first time that Kareena will be playing such a role.

If the role of Kareena Kapoor materializes, she will go de-glam. The shooting of the film is likely to start towards the end of 2012. It was understood that it was Ajay Devgan who suggested that Kareena should play the role of a female Prime Minister.

Deepika Padukone as guest on Emotional Atyachaar 3

The sexy leggy, Deepika Padukone will make her appearance as a guest celebrity on the reality show Emotional Atyachaar 3. She will be accompanied by Prakash Jha. Deepika Padukone and Prakash Jha, who is the director of the film Aarakshan, will be there to promote their film, which is scheduled for release in the next month - August 12 .

Deepika says that her character in the film is facing a real problem and finds herself between the devil and the deep blue sea. On one hand, there is her father and on the other, her boyfriend. She does not understand on whose stand she should stay and whom to support.

Amitabh Bachchan can’t promote Aarakshan in Lucknow University

In one of the rare no’s to Amitabh Bachchan, he was disallowed from promoting his upcoming film Aarakshan in the campus of the Lucknow University. Big B, along with the director of the film Prakash Jha, had shown interest in visiting the Lucknow University for the promotion purposes.

But the reason for not allowing Amitabh Bachchan to come there to promote the film was the topic of the film itself. Aarakshan as the name itself suggests, deals with the story of reservation. ‘This is a pretty sensitive issue and therefore, not fit to be promoted in the University campus,’ was the reason put forth for denying the Big B a chance.

Big B and Prakash Jha were supposed to meet and interact with the students in the campus and talk about the subject on which the film is based.

The spokesperson of the Lucknow University said that it is not only a sensitive issue but also a controversial one. That is why the Lucknow University has come to a decision of not giving the due permission for anyone to promote the film there.

However, the Lucknow University spokesperson has said that if Amitabh Bachchan wants to pay a visit to the Lucknow University for any other reason other than film promotion, then he is welcome.
