Sameera Reddy gets Rs. 50 lakhs for 10-minute performance

Sameera Reddy will be performing this New Year’s Eve and is known to have charged Rs. 50 lakhs for 10-minute performance. The last time Sameera missed the chance to perform on the occasion. However, she made sure she will be performing on the stage to usher in the New Year with her fans.

Sameera will be performing in Lucknow. Interestingly, Sameera will not be performing in Mumbai, if you had thought so. She will be seen dancing to the tunes of the songs like Ishq Duhai, Sheila Ki Jawani and Munni Badnaam Hui. As this will be her new performance on stage especially for a New Year, Sameera is thrilled about this.

Sameera Reddy was in Greece recently to be with her sister who gave birth to a baby boy. But now, Sameera will be travelling back to India and will certainly be busy preparing for her performance. It is understood that she hasn’t yet finalized all her costumes for the stage show.

Despite sleepwalking problem, family comes first for Sameera Reddy

Sameera Reddy does not mind postponing her treatment on sleepwalking as family is what comes first for her. As a matter of fact, Sameera Reddy is in Greece currently as her sister Meghna has given birth to a baby boy. There is no doubt that the bonding between the two of them made her stay back.

It was pre-decided that Sameera would head to Switzerland for her sleepwalking problem and to consult a doctor there. However, arrival of a new member in the family has sparked off celebrations all around for the family. And understandably Sameera is in no mood to leave such a joyous atmosphere back and go to Switzerland.

As now Sameera has become an aunty, she is busy looking after the baby. Cleaning the baby and changing the diapers have become a daily routine for the actress. And yes, she loves all that. The treatment can wait for Sameera, but not the celebration time!

Sisters Sushama Reddy and Sameera Reddy at loggerheads

The two well-known sisters in the entertainment industry – Sushama Reddy and Sameera Reddy have found themselves to be busy by arguing with each other. The reason was Sameera Reddy’s item number Kunda khol in the film Chakravyuh. It was the fact that Sushama did not like the lyrics in the Prakash Jha film.

There was an argument between the two sisters where Sameera was trying to make Sushma accept that there was nothing wrong with the lyrics. The elder sister – Sushma was however not ready to accept it and was certainly looking unhappy. There was no way a solution could be found.

There was an uneasy silence of a couple of days between the two sisters. However, it was the elder sibling who took a U-turn and came out defending her sister. She said that it was after all a song – an item number. What can one expect of an item song, she questioned?

However, Sushma admitted that Sameera had good looks and her dance was excellent.

Will Mallika Sherawat be seen in the item song?

Director Priyadarshan has decided to remove the entire item song from his film. The song was to be shot first on Sameera Reddy and then on Mallika Sherawat. However, the producer is not in favor of editing the song at all. It remains to be seen if the final word will be that of the producer’s or the director’s.

But the fight between a producer and a director is not new to Bollywood. There have been creative differences between these two people always. However, as Sameera was first chosen for the song was replaced by Mallika. She was then asked to show up in the song as well.

But this didn’t go well with Sameera who refused to shoot forthat item song. But as a matter of fact, it was Jiah Khan who was to do the item song. But Mallika insisted on having the song for her and according to an informer, there was no solid reason why Jiah was not performing.

It was also learnt that Mallika compromised on the fees and agreed to do the song only for Rs. 11 lakhs. Well, what it is indeed difficult to predict what the inside truth is!

Why is Sameera Reddy avoiding Mallika Sherawat?

The catfight between Bollywood leading ladies is nothing new. This time it is Sameera Reddy and Mallika Sherawat. Both are a part of the same movie that they are working on. The film had an important item song, which was supposed to be shot on the south heroine. However, Mallika Sherawat was later chosen for the song.

That was a reason enough to put Sameera away from the developments regarding the item song. She did not want to be present to see Mallika dancing to the tunes of a song which she thought she would get to dance. The other stars like Zayed Khan and Ajay Devgan were however present during the shooting of the song.

Mallika Sherawat was the choice of the producer while the director wanted the song to be shot on Sameera. It was a win for the producer as Mallika was the final choice for the item song. These differences had already created a stir in the film world and were making news.

No doubt Sameera wanted to avoid Mallika as far as possible. There was already written in the media about this episode. It was but natural that Sameera did not want to be seen during the shooting of the song.

Sameera Reddy will perform an item song in film Tezz

The decision has been taken. It will be Sameera Reddy for the item song in the film Tezz. The film, directed by Priyadarshan, was short of an item girl. There were names like Priyanka Chopra discussed. However, there was no luck for Priyadarshan, until his close family friend, Sameera Reddy showed up.

Sameera Reddy plays the role of a club dancer in the film and that is why the item dance should also belong to her, Priyadarshan feels. Actually, there were some other ladies in the contention for the item song. Priyadarshan was actually referring to and defending why the item number should go Sameera’s way.

What a co-incidence it is! Sameera Reddy had danced to the tunes of an item song in Priyadarshan’s film Aakrosh last year. Tezz is a thriller film. The item song we are talking about has the music score by Sajid-Wajid.

The song in the film Tezz will be shot in the sets designed in Mumbai. More details about the song are awaited.

"Dhamaal" With Girls

‘Dhamaal’ might not have gone away from your memories as yet. Remember, it was an all-male issue. Now director Indra Kumar is coming back with its sequel. As it is a sequel, it was expected that, it too would be an all-male affair. Well, it was thought to be so for many days. Now, there is a U-turn on this and the director has agreed to rope in not one but two gorgeous looking ladies of the entertainment industry. These two women are Bipasha Basu and Sameera Reddy. Haven’t your eyes lightened up now after hearing these two name?
Both director Indra Kumar and producer Ashok Thakeria had earlier announced the sequel – ‘Dhamaal 2’ without any female participation. However, the producer later gave a statement that as the script ran, it had some scope for the ladies to make their entry. Sanjay Dutt and Arashad Warsi were keen on having female colleagues. However, there are still three months or so for the film to start. So, let’s see what happens.
