Mehrunissa is the director’s upcoming film in which Chitrangada Singh is expected to play the lead role. Sudhir Mishra has almost given an ultimatum to Chitrangada Singh to prepare herself for the role of the protagonist. The film Mehrunissa is based on the love story which is set during the Partition years of 1947. For this role, Chitrangada Singh will have to prepare herself to play the role of a Muslim girl.
As a matter of fact, Chitrangada Singh is also preparing herself for her another film Krissh 3 along with Hrithik Roshan. However, Sudhir Mishra wants Chitrangada to gain some weight for the character she will play in Mehrunissa. Among other things that Chitrangada is expected to incorporate are the culture and the body language a typical Muslim girl could have in those Partition days.
Believe it or not, but the director has asked Chitrangada Singh to fly to Pakistan to get a firsthand experience of the people and the atmosphere. It’s now a wait and watch game for everyone to see how the lass prepares herself to the satisfaction of the director.
