Anjana Padmanabhan wins the first Indian Idol Junior

Anjana Padmanabhan has won the first Indian Idol Junior competition. She had to compete against Debanjana Khamkar, Nirvesh Dave and Anmol Jaswal. Amitabh Bachchan announced the winner at the end of the grand finale of the show.
The music composer duo of Vishal and Shekhar along with the beautiful Shreya Ghoshal were the judges of the show.
It was a pretty tough to select the winner as all of them equally impressive. Only could play its part in such a case. Though Anjana does not understand Hindi, she certainly understands the music as she enthralled the audience on innumerable occasions. No doubt, she was the right choice.
As the winner of the first Indian Idol Junior, Anjana won Rs. 25 lakhs from Sony, Rs. 2 lakhs from Horlicks, a car from Nissan and Rs. 5 lakhs from Kotak.
Anjana hails from Bengaluru and is just a 10 year old singing wonder.
