The flats of Moon Moon Sen and Riya Sen got gutted in their Mumbai
residence in the wee hours of Sunday. The unfortunate incident happened at 2 in
the morning. Moon Moon Sen is an MP of the Trinamool Congress and a popular
yesteryear actress.
When the incident came to light, a hoard of fire tenders got
to work to bring the fire under control. It was only after a great effort that
the fire was doused. The Sr. Sen was with her daughter Riya, when the incident
took place. The two of them were together in one of the apartments.
The fire brigade has confirmed that both the ladies are safe
and weren’t hurt in the blaze. Abhay Kale, the divisional officer said that
they got a call at about 1.45. The fire was on the sixth floor of the building.
Two water jets with high pressure capacity were used to bring the fire to
death.
However, Riya Sen had a different version to tell. According to
her, the fire brigade took almost an hour to arrive at the place. She expressed
her outrage over the issue too.
