Anurag Kashyap and Kalki Koechlin get married

Anurag Kashyap and Kalki Koechlin finally got married and realized their dream after a long wait of three years. The two were in love with each other since they came together for the movie Dev D. Anurag Kashyap is getting married the second time in his life while for Kalki Koechlin, this is her first experience. Anurag Kashyap has a 10-year old daughter from his first marriage.

There was no pomp and gaiety and the marriage took place in a completely traditional way. Kalhatty, a little known town near Ooty, was the place where the two got married. You may find it interesting to hear that, the marriage took place under a mango tree, which is not less than 100 years old.

However, a natural look with decorations to the place was given which would fit any marriage hall. There were flower decorations and buntings hanging around. There were only about 40 guests who attended the ceremony. The guests included his director brother Abhinav Kashyap and his daughter and the close relatives of Kalki Koechlin.

Kalki will be seen in the next film called Shaitan. Interestingly, the film is produced by her husband, Anurag.

A grand marriage reception is now on the cards. We wish the married couple a happy and prosperous life!

Singularity actress Bipasha Basu doesn’t worry about linking up

After being with John Abraham for around a decade, Bipasha Basu broke up with him. For a brief while now, she has been linked up with Josh Hartnett, her co-star in the film Singularity. But Bipasha is yet firm on the fact that these are all rumors and that it has nothing to do with her co-star apart from being professional.

Bips said that being with the American actor, is just a part of her professional relationship. The two came close during the shooting of the film Singularity. The inner circle has been very alert about the developments between the two.

Some feel that there is something more between the two actors, though the dusky Indian beauty has repeatedly brushed off the news. Bipasha said that she finds it pleasurable working with Josh. She even praised Josh Hartnett as being a truly talented actor. but she admitted that she has met a very ‘interesting person’.

Freida Pinto has sex scene in Immortals

Freida Pinto might have done many memorable roles. However, the one she will herself remember the most is the role in Immortals. Immortals is a film which will be shot in 3D. Mickey Rourke is the actor with whom Freida will be seen getting cozy. The director of the film is Tarsem Singh.

The director was very well aware of the fact that Freida had never done any such scene before. This is going to be her first time. Therefore, it is also going to be critical for her at the same time. However, as a true professional, Freida has to go through it.

Tarsem Singh tried to make the situation lighter for Freida. There will be only 80 people during the shooting of the delicate scenes. Around 25% of the people present there will be the crew members especially the cameramen.

In the film, Freida plays the role of a priestess whose name is Phaedra. The film is based on the Greek epic called Immortals. Mickey Rourke, her co-star, will play the character of the King Hyperion, who is evil by nature. The sole aim of the King Hyperion is to find the Epirus Bow – a weapon that is understood to sport unimaginable powers.

Soniya Mehra gets wet in the rain

Neither Priyanka Chopra nor Katrina Kaif in Dhoom 3

The much talked about names for Dhoom 3, Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif along with Deepika Padukone will be missing from the film. The reason is that, the makers of the film want to rope in a fresh face for the movie to be cast opposite Aamir Khan. Now, who that new face will be, is still not known as the search is still on.

Earlier, the reports from the Yash Raj banner said that the film would be made with Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif or Deepika Padukone. However, now according to the latest reports, (or strategy, we may say) the production house wants a fresh face instead of the established names in the film industry.

Esha Deol and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan had donned these roles before. It was both the producer – Aditya Chopra and the director Vijay Krishna Acharya wanted a new face, brushing aside some heavyweight names.

It is not new for the Yash Raj Films to have new faces in their films. So, this news should not come out of the bolt for the three ladies mentioned above. The search for the new face is certainly on.

Rajanikanth discharged from hospital

Good news for all the Rajanikanth fans is that, the iconic actor was discharged from the St. Isabel Hospital in Mylapore. He was hospitalized after he vomited and complained of fatigue on the sets of his upcoming film Rana. Incidentally, that was the very first day of the shooting of his film Rana with Deepika Padukone.

After the diagnostics done, it was discovered that it was due to exhaustion and dehydration that Rajini vomited and felt weak. He was kept in the intensive care unit. To do away with the modest stomach infection, the actor was given various medicines and fluid replacements.

To add to that, there were some breathing problems that Rajini was also fighting. Having rest and specialized treatment was what his family physician advised him. It was only then, that he was hospitalized. That also helped him get some much needed break and rest.

The film Rana which will be released in various languages like Tamil, Telugu and Hindi, according to prior plans, will be released the next year only. However, now as the protagonist himself has been advised rest, it remains to be seen how long a break will Sir Rajini take and how long the schedule will be affected.

But whatever, it is the health of Rajanikanth which is the most important for his fans and all of us. We pray for his speedy recovery.
