Why is Bollywood desperate for publicity?

The PR offices in Mumbai are flooded with offers and work currently. If on one side there is the highest numbers of films made in India, then on the other, they are the most aggressively marketed of the lots at this time. There has never been such a situation in Bollywood before. What is driving all to promote films so harder?

There has been every possible step used to promote films. The most important factors have been the social networking sites like Twitter and Facebook. Apart from that the small screen has also been used to the fullest. Shahid Kapoor played a weather reporter for the promotion of his film Mausam.

One of the very recent examples was the felicitation done by Kareena Kapoor of bodyguards in real life. Shera, Salman Khan’s bodyguard for more than 15 years now did the honors to promote the film as Salman was in the States for medical attention.

Amitabh Bachchan was the guest principal in colleges during the promotion of Aarakshan. Genelia and John Abraham ‘married accidentally’ in Force. The host couple of Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan had a forged war of words to promote Bigg Boss 5. And how can we forget the ‘jalebibai’ – Mallika Sherawat,

who literally made jalebis to promote Double Dhamaal.

Who will do the Ishqiya sequel – Kangana Ranaut or Vidya Balan?

There is a big question mark as to who will star in the Ishqiya sequel. Reports say it might either be Kangana Ranaut or Vidya Balan. However, a final decision has not been taken. Let us say, it comes to a matter of personal choice. However, the inclusion of Kangana Ranaut is more likely even though it was Vidya Balan who starred in the prequel.

Arshad Warsi, who was a part of the prequel, feels that it should be Kangana Ranaut in the sequel. Kangana was his co-star in the film Double Dhamaal. It is expected that, however, the other prominent stars like, Naseeruddin Shah and Arshad Warsi will remain in the sequel as well.

More than anyone else, it is Arshad Warsi who wants Kangana in the film. According to one source, it is he who has recommended her name to the people who matter like the director and the producer. The director of the film is Abhishek Chaubey while the producers are Vishal Bharadwaj and Ketan Maroo.

However, Kangana Ranaut has really established as a competent actress after the success of her two films Tanu Weds Manu and the more recent Double Dhamaal.

A last word from Kangana – the director and the producer of the film has approached her for the role in the sequel. There is no final decision yet, so keep tuned in for more.

How would an actor feel when the best part of him or her is removed from a film? How would an actor feel if he comes to know that there no longer exist the parts in the film for which people throng the theaters? The same happened with Mallika Sherawat recently. Her shots of bathing sequence are chopped off from the film Double Dhamaal.
Believe it or not, Mallika was shocked to the core, when she came to know about this. And it was quite understandable as well. What is the matter left behind if Mallika is not shown in the bikini scenes those were so far were been dimmed to be a part of the film?
She tried to fight her way to the producer and director of the film. However, they wanted to portray the film as a family entertainer. And the presence of Mallika having a bath in a bikini is certainly a put off for an entire family. Mallika can get smoking hot in this apparel and all are aware of this fact.

Now Oye Oye song making rage all over

The past few months have seen a string of item numbers. Munni badnaam hui and Sheila ki jawani made to the top of the charts from the fag end of the year. Deepika Padukone was a sexy lady to watch in Dum Maaro Dum. Mallika Sherawat will be seen dancing to the tunes of Shalu in Bin Bulaye Baraati.

Now, the next in the wings is the Oye Oye song from Double Dhamaal. Sanjay Dutt along with Kangana Ranaut and Mallika Sherawat will be seen in the item song. The song has been sung by none other than Sunidhi Chauhan, who is the Queen of dance numbers.

The song has been choreographed by Ganesh Acharya. As a matter of interest, Ganesh Acharya was one of the members of the dance group when the original Oye Oye song was shot. The famous composer pair of Kalyanji Anandji had composed the music for the song.
