There were loads of questions on Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha
coming together on the big screen after their hit film Silsila more than 30
years ago. However, Big B has clarified that he is not going to work with his
former love lady. There were reports doing the rounds that the two stars will
be working together again.
There were reports that the mega star and Rekha would team up
for the next project from the house of Yash Raj Films. The film was reportedly
to be directed by Aditya Chopra.
In his own unique style, Amitabh said “No, I am not doing
that (film). But if you know anybody there (at YRF), then suggest my name.” He confirmed
that there wasn’t any truth in the news about his working with Rekha.
Since 1981, the two stars haven’t shared screen space. Silsila
was directed by Yash Chopra and was his directorial venture. Anees Bazmee also
tried to pair the two stars in the sequel to Welcome – Welcome Back. However,
these efforts also failed.
