Popular Bollywood actor Nana Patekar will once again don the
hat of a director as he gets ready to director a film on social worker Baba
Amte. The actor will also be seen in the lead role in the film. The film will
also focus Prakash Amte, Baba’s son.
Nana Patekar is popular for his acting and dialogue delivery.
He isn’t a director so to say. But, he has directed a film before, way back in
1991. The film he directed was Prahaar: The Final Attack.
The film will be made in three languages – Hindi, Marathi and
English. Nana Patekar, said while speaking about the film that he will be playing
the role of both Baba Amte and his son Prakash.
Baba Amte was an out of the world social worker, who devoted
his entire life for the rehabilitation of leprosy patients. As far as the film
is concerned, the actor said that he was offered the role of Baba Amte himself in
a Marathi film. However, he didn’t accept the role.
