Farhan Akhtar hopful of Bhaag Milkha Bhaag

Actor Farhan Akhtar is currently busy with his next film Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. Bhaag Milkha Bhaag is a film that is made on the life of the famous Indian athlete Milkha Singh. In short, it is his biopic. Farhan Akhtar feels that the film will give the much-needed boost to the athletics in India.

The actor said that there are things that they are planning to show through the film and it will certainly be a good message for all. Not all people may know, but Farhan Akhtar had spent quite a time with the former athlete himself. That helped him prepare for the role even better.

Why only Farhan Akhtar, but even Milkha Singh himself has a dream that is associated with the film. The Flying Sikh, as Milkha Singh is known, also wants the people to turn to athletics. The real dream of Milkha Singh is to inspire people to participate and win medals for the country and even individual medals.

The film is directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and will star Sonam Kapoor. Farhan Akhtar will be seen in the character of Milkha Singh. Bhaag Milkha Bhaag will release on January 12, 2013.

Prachi Desai will romance Sanjay Dutt

Bollywood knows no age barrier when it comes to romancing. The example is Prachi Desai romance Sanjay Dutt in their upcoming film. The film they will be acting in is the remake of the Tamil film Saamy. The shooting will soon get underway in Hyderabad. It was Sonakshi Sinha before who had agreed to romance an actor who was her senior.

There is no wonder that Prachi Desai has given nod to working with Sanjay Dutt. She is now looking to work with established actors in Bollywood post her success in Bol Bachchan. That will give her more advantage as an actress and more chances of the film becoming a hit.

However, in some of her previous films, she was seen with actors in their 30s. In Rock On she was seen with Farhan Akhtar, in Life Partner with Tusshar Kapoor and with Emran Hashmi in Once Upon a time in Mumbaai. However, as a small screen debutant, she featured opposite Ram Kapoor in Kasamh Se.

Kareena Kapoor to be cast in item song for Dabangg 2

It is being speculated that the bold and beautiful Kareena Kapoor will set the screens on fire with her sizzling performance for an item number in Dabangg 2. In Dabangg, it was Malaika Arora Khan who literally made the young generation crazy with her ‘Munni badnaam hui’ item song. It is now the turn of Kareena Kapoor to do a Munni.

Kareena Kapoor has been known for her excellent dance sequences and she is an acclaimed dancer herself. She has shown her dancing abilities through various songs through the films she has acted in. However, saying yes to an item song that has such a huge popularity graph is no child’s play. Kareena will have to give her best, as there will naturally be comparison between Malaika Arora Khan and Kareena Kapoor.

Bodyguard, Ek Mai Aur Ekk Tu and Jab We Met are some of the films which were hits and has seen Kareena be an important part of all of them. Who will forget the item song from Farhan Akhtar’s film Don?

Shah Rukh Khan’s Don 2 in copyright trouble

Shah Rukh Khan’s troubles aren’t over yet. After facing the quiz by ED a few days back, SRK starrer, Don 2 is in trouble now. It is the copyright infringement, according to the original makers of Don. On that term, the production house has been sent legal notice.

Don 2 is the sequel of the Amitabh Bachchan hit film Don. SRK is main male lead role in Don 2. However, as far as the sequel goes, Nariman films, the production house of Don, is not pleased with the way the sequel has been handled. But what is the reason for Nariman films to send a notice to the sequel directed by Farhan Akhtar?

Nariman films said that they had given only the rights to remake the film to Excel Entertainment. Nariman films points out that they had not given the permission to remake the film as a sequel. That’s where the violation of copyright is, the original Don producers think.

Iva Bansal and Digvijay Chopra, the two advocates appointed by Nariman films said that they will take legal action against producers of Don 2 at that High Court and criminal courts as well for relief. On the other side Ritesh Sidhwani of the Excel Entertainment said that whatever they were doing was legal and charges of Nariman Films are false and baseless.

Don 2 may be released on Christmas.

Farhan Akhtar to play cricketer in Abhishek Kapoor's next film

If reports are to be believed, then Farhan Akhtar will be seen as a cricketer in Abhishek Kapoor's next film. The film is based on the book of Chetan Bhagat, titled 3 Mistakes Of My Life. There are even reports out as to which character Farhan Akhtar will be playing.

They are terming his character a mix of Aamir Khan in two different films – one from Lagaan and one from 3 Idiots. It seems that Farhan Akhtar is very serious about his role in the film. He seems to be going Aamir Khan’s way. It is heard that Farhan Akhtar will be taking cricketing lessons from a professional.

The two books written by Chetan Bhagat have a slight similarity and yet both books were turned into films. Both his books Five Point Someone and 3 Mistakes Of My Life are based on the story of three friends. When on one hand, Aamir played the character of Rancho in 3 Idiots; Farhan will be playing the character of Ishaan in his upcoming film.

Well, if there is so much similarity in both the films, why make the later one, when one already has the idea of the story? Moreover, the game of cricket and patriotism forms the moral fiber of the film.
