Amisha Patel quits Singh Saheb The Great

Amisha Patel has decided to walk out of Singh Saheb The Great. The film is being made by Anil Sharma. The reason put forward by the Bollywood actress is that the film is having schedules that are impossible to stick to. She feels that the ever-changing schedules are difficult to cope with.

Amisha posted a message on Twitter about her walking away from the film. She said “Gooddmorning guys. Yes, the news is true… I have had to back out of Singh Saheb The Great due to ever-changing schedules. My best wishes to Anil Sharma,” Amisha was cast opposite Sunny Deol in the film.

If the film had materialized, it would have become a reunion of the two stars – Amisha and Sunny who had been cast together in the film Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. Amisha wished the film and the film maker the best of wishes and did not forget to mention that the film goes on to be as big a hit as that of Gadar.

Amrita Rao is another star in Singh Saheb The Great.

Gitanjali jewellery brand signs Amisha Patel

After being popular and successful with a sunglasses brand that Amisha Patel recently signed, another brand – the Gitanjali jewellery brand has come forward to sign her Bollywood actress. For some months now she has been having a hectic schedule with the sunglasses brand. But the Gitanjali jewellery brand was still keen to sign Amisha.

Amisha Patel was in the capital city of India when she was formally announced as the face of the Gitanjali jewellery brand. Amisha confirmed the news herself. She said that she was proud to represent the brand and it was great to be a part of the company.

She further added that it was the personal life for her that had taken a front seat in her life for some days now. However, being amongst the brands and advertising has brought her to her original position, she said. She also said that it would also try to please the audience through her performance as well – referring to her return on the big screen.

Believe it or not, she has refused an offer of a spicy item song that has come her way. It is also understood that the Bollywood actress was offered a huge amount for the song.

It looks as if Amisha is giving more importance to the quality rather than the bucks she would have got for the song. The offer for the song had come for a south Indian film. The producers of the film were ready to work according to Amisha’s conditions.

No director to work with Amisha Patel – the producer?

Why is it that the leading lady of successful films like Kaho Na Pyaar Hai and Gadar, Amisha Patel is finding it hard to kick off her debut production? She had announced the launch of her own production house some days back and also came up with a film as well.

However, according to experts, she should have waited for right moment before announcing her film. Amisha now finds herself in a fix as there is no director as of now, ready to work with her. This has made her do nothing more than wait for any prominent director to take up her work.

Amisha has approached directors like Priyadarshan and Kunal Kohli. However, all are already busy with their respective projects in hands and it’s hard to get some time off instantly. It is rumored that, Amisha had personally requested director Imtiaz Ali to at least have a look at the script.

However, the request from Amisha seems to have fallen on deaf ears or maybe not. But Imtiaz is currently busy with the work of the post-production of the film Rockstar.
