A theft case against Lindsay Lohan has landed the lady in jail for 120 days. It was accused that Lindsay had stolen a necklace worth $ 2,500. However, due to strong advocating on her lawyer’s part, Lindsay will walk away with a theft charge that has been brought down to being a misdemeanor.
However, that could not save the ‘Mean Girls’ star from facing a jail term of as many as 120 days (four months). This sentence was awarded to Lindsay by the Judge Stephanie Sautner.
The decision comes from Judge Stephanie Sautner after assessing the facts from the witnesses and taking testimonies, which proved that there was adequate evidence to nail the troubled star in the theft case.
From her part, Lindsay Lohan had posted a bail of $75,000 which was intended at safeguarding her release from potential custody at the hands of the law. However, when the 120 days’ jail term was declared, Lindsay hardly showed any reaction on her face.
That was not all, the Judge Stephanie Sautner, also ordered Lindsay to do a community service of 480 hours – around 20 days. Los Angeles County Morgue is the place where the celebrity would carry out the community service.
