If you thought Salman Khan can only dance to the Dhinka Chika tunes or Dabangg numbers, then you are wrong. Salman Khan was involved in the Celebrity Cricket League. If you don’t know what Celebrity Cricket League is, then here is what it is all about. The words celebrity and cricket will give all the idea.
It is the league that collectively brings together all the celebrities from the Indian film industry. Remember, it is not only Bollywood, but the entire film industry. The film personalities from Tamil, Kannada, Telugu and Bollywood came together for the league.
The Chinnaswamy Cricket Stadium in Bengaluru played the host to this popular cricket league. As usual, the opening ceremony was a grand affair. There were cultural programmes, folk dances apart from the formal opening ceremony. Sonakshi Sinha, Shriya Saran, Sarath Kumar and Sohail Khan were some of the prominent film personalities from various quarters of India.
If the IPL has team names, so do these teams have. The Telugu Warriors, Mumbai Heroes, Tamil Rhinos and Karnataka Bulldozers are the four teams that participated in the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL).
The finals are slated to be played on Sunday – June 12.
