Producers of Gandhi To Hitler to sue Anupam Kher

The makers of the film Gandhi To Hitler are contemplating legal action against senior actor Anupam Kher. Apart from sending the legal action to Kher, the producers are also demanding a sum of Rs. 2.5 crores from the actor. The news of suing Anupam Kher comes close on the heels of the film’s release.
As a matter of fact, Anupam Kher had signed the film Gandhi To Hitler. The film has been renamed as Gandhi To Hitler. The initial title of the film was My Friend Hitler. Anupam Kher had not only signed the film, but had also got Rs. 4 lakhs from the producers.
However, after some days, Anupam Kher backed off and left the film. He did not wish to continue anymore. He said that his fans had asked him not to don the role of Hitler. Respecting his fans’ wishes, Mr. Kher did not go on with the film. According to the producers, it was this reason that Anupam Kher forwarded them.
The producers even said that Anupam Kher conveyed to them that he could not continue with the film as he was ‘busy’. They then went on to sign Raghubir Yadav for the same role.
But Anupam Kher had a different version to tell. He said that his name was being used for promoting the film. He even said that he had informed the persons concerned before taking leave of the film. On the contrary, Anupam Kher said that he read in newspapers that the producers of the film did not find him fit to play the role.
Both the parties have got their own versions. Let’s keep our fingers crossed and see what happens next. Visit again to know more!
